3.5 stars. There were parts that were funny and parts that were sad/darker. Gilda (and her brother) have quite a few mental health issues and there were a few times I could (or have( related to their struggles.

Truly a remarkable book. As someone with mental health issues that others don't understand or get, this book made me feel at home.

i absolutely FLEW through this book - i'm not even sure how or why as the writing style is quite rambly and stream of consciousness style.
safe to say, i did very much enjoy everyone in this room will someday be dead. it's definitely one you have to be in the right headspace to read, especially if you have anxiety or depression. gilda for me was a very easy character to root for because i really wanted her to get better. and whilst i luckily can't relate to her feelings of existential dread, it was quite fascinating to see the world through her eyes.
a lot of the blurbs on my edition of the book talk about how 'laugh out loud' funny it is and whilst there were some amusing parts, i barely even exhaled through my nose let alone laughed out loud. but i can understand why come people think it's humorous.
