this one, i prolonged the completion of, so i didnt have to move on so quickly. i greatly enjoyed the character cast, sequence of events, settings, moods, and humor.

An enjoyable book with a very interesting world and the fantasy races in it were very vivid and had their own life to them.
However, it did meander a lot and the quirkiness of the writing style was what made me give it a 3.5 as the quirkiness wasn’t for me.
However, I must add that I will look forward to any future books by Buehlman especially in this world.

A excellent little first-person-told adventure novel with GREAT world-building. I particularly loved the authors writing style (whose horror background I am a fan of also) which lead to fantastic immersion into the world and the feeling that we were literally in our protagonists head. Highly recommend and will be continuing the series.
