When I finished listening I went right back to the beginning to start again because I didn't want it to be over.

If I could give this book more than 5 stars I would.

The amount of times I cried in this book? Uncounted. Tears of joy, tears of pain, tears of feelings seen for the first time in a while. I laughed, I cried, I broke my well practised poker face in the buss with some of those Spicier scenes.

As a long time fan of the series (since it started really) I've been waiting to get my hands on this book for a long while, and it did not disappoint.

If you love found family, self acceptance, a badass but loving FMC and a actually emotionally mature and loving love interest? This is the book for you.

I knew this book would be amazing because I have loved Jaysea's skits on TikTok. Reading this book felt like home. There were difficult parts for sure. The author did a beautiful job of presenting lived experiences and emotions readers could relate to. This book made me feel so deeply, and I adore it for that. The only reason it took me so long to finish reading it is because I was hospitalized for an illness where the medications made it impossible for my brain to focus on much for long. I am so excited to see what comes next for the Hell's Belles series.

An enjoyable read with a new take on the afterlife and what it means to be alive. Lily is a strong lead and the rest of cast keep the story moving. The romance between Lily and Bel is a slow-burn to start before the spice ramps up.
There are some funny moments, heart-felt moments and of course sad moments. There is a lot of talk about death, trauma and abuse throughout. Some chapters do read like a therapist's notebook and were a little bit of a slog to get through.
Overall, a fun read and loved the afterlife concept.

First of all, this book is not going to appeal to everyone. TBH, I picked it up because my kindle suggested it to me. This book is absolutely outside my comfort zone. For Whom the Belle Tolls has CW galore. You name it, it’s in this book. Not to mention there is one steamy scene that I completely skipped.(It’s not my jam, but you do you, boo.)

However, I ate this book up in 24 hours,so I’m left feeling…confused? It’s horrific yet cozy? Trauma-filled yet funny? Dark yet oddly found-family? This book deals a lot with religious trauma, and it feels like much of the author’s own personal experiences are steeped in the book. For these reasons, I can’t give this anything lower than a 4. Should you read it? Maybe… maybe not? I’m glad (I think?) that I picked it up. Will I read the next one… not sure! 😂 I read this book on Libby.
