I felt a disconnect between these two for some reason. CJ was kindve an asshole for so much of the book and I feel like it was glossed over the shit he did to Lennon, while his groveling was sweet I just wasn't in it. I felt like lennon's whole backstory wasn't explored enough the ending felt so anticlimactic to me. I also struggled to like Lennon's character at times. I felt like both CJ and Lennon were so similar and I just didn't really like either of them as much as some of the other characters in the series.

I was procrastinating on reading this book even though I was so excited for it because I didn’t want to cry. I cried. This book was everything. I adore Lennon and how she doesn’t take shit from anyone. I have a thing for flighty FMCs who are independent finding a home without realizing they needed one. This book hurt in the best way possible. The banter in the beginning between Lennon and CJ where neither of them were willing to back down 10/10. They matched each other in every way and no doubt about that. When you get past the banter though you get the really good stuff. CJ is stable and warm, he’s in her corner holding her and giving her a home. He is everything she didn’t know she needed and so much more. This book wasn’t warm and fuzzy, Lennon had a past and a lot of healing to do. CJ was there for her every step of the way holding onto her and reminding her she has a place with him and people who care about her. His constant reassurance was so sweet and there was so much love there it was impossible not to feel it. Lennon found a family in the middle of nowhere with people who would do anything for her. She found a place she belonged to and a family that she chose who would always choose her. This was the perfect ending to this series and the perfect person to complete the family, this book was absolutely beautiful and heartbreaking.

I struggled with the first half of this one. I thought CJ was an ass and didn't grovel enough for me. Then the second half of the book picked up and I ended up liking it more than I thought.
“Glass is always delicate, even if it’s sharp and shattered.” I pressed a kiss to the side of her neck. “It just takes someone picking up the pieces and forging them back together to make cathedrals.”
“It’s okay to grieve the idea of something. It’s okay to admit that we hold on to the hope of things being different. It’s okay to be hurt when things don’t end the way we want them to.”
The greatest heartbreak wasn’t that I had lost someone who had done nothing but hurt me. It was that I lost the figment of what should have been. It was the acute realization that I didn’t know where I belonged now. I guess that’s why people cared about their families, even when the family did nothing to deserve it. We’re all just looking for a place where we belong.

I really didn't like CJ at the start of the book tbh, but he grew on me. I loved seeing them grow into their relationship. Lennon needs to be protected at all costs. But he really did know what he was doing with those flowers. I'll think about what he said about wild flowers for a while.

CJ definitely isn’t my favorite brother, but I loved Lennon and her backstory. The progression of their relationship was fun to read and felt real. It did a bit cliche at times and the writing isn’t my favorite all the way through, but all in all a fun read!
I KNEW I was gunna eat this one up and I did. I loved Lennon and CJ so much, both together and separately. Good spice, good plot, good banter. I’m going to miss this little ranch and the Griffith family
