Nora Roberts kicsit elmozdult hát a divatirányzatoktól, hagyja a boszorkányokat és a vámpírokat, s inkább Stephen King sötétebb tónusú világába kalandozik.

The Hollow|2195309|The Hollow (Sign of Seven, #2)|Nora Roberts|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1388193051s/2195309.jpg|2201046]-t.

IMHO this book really reminds me of her "Morrigan's Cross" series that was put out a little over a year ago. The character traits are similar and the situation set up also similar in nature. Six people, three men and three women, are unexplainably drawn together to fight evil and naturally are paired off together.

The first book in this series sets up the story of three boys who somehow unleashed a demon that raises hell (literally) for 7 days every 7 years. Quinn, an author that is known to be an expert on ghost hunting, is called in to write about the experiences. She also brings in two other women that will round out the six.

I really liked this story and fell that this series has a lot more potential to the dissapointment that Morrigan's Cross was to me. I still LIKED it but it was far too predictable. So far my only complaint with this series is that Quinn is TOO perfect. Brave, beautiful, kind, doesn't play mind games, sexy etc. etc. etc. You'll understand (and hopefully agree) when you read it. I like her but almost thing that Nora went a bit overkill in making her a super heroine!

I adored this series, Nora is at her best with paranormal topics. It's one of those reads you hate to have end. I started to pace myself to make it last longer. If you love the vibes from being in the woods and small mountain towns full of character, this will start to appeal to you right away. Nora always has a way of making you feel invested in more than the characters romances, but also what's important to them, be it their job or hobbies, you start to care about it and the world closes in behind you. I'm not really a romance reader, but when an author can submerge you into the setting to the point where you have the place completely envisioned in your mind and are able to go there whether your reading her book or not, that's a good author. That's one thing I can say about authors of the romantic genre, the setting is the first priority. It's another character being developed and drawing you in. Sometimes it's overkill when they go on for a chapter about the wood grain of the old barn or something, lol, but Nora doesn't have that problem.

It was an engrossing story dealing with a supernatural fight between good and evil.

Blood Brothers by Nora Roberts – If you liked The Crucible, you will like this world! Cal is root bound in his normally cute town. Once every seven years, he has to defend it with his life. But this go round he has more than his brothers to help! Happy Reading!

I love this book so much. I remember that it was my Mum's and she talked about how wonderful it was so much that I stole it off her to have a read. I've read a fair few Nora Roberts books (she's staple author in my house, my whole family loves her) and most of them have been pretty generic and formulaic - there's a guy, there's a girl, there are obstacles, and then there's a happy ending. And I'm not going to lie - these books are essentially the same. However, what makes them freaking AWESOME is the supernatural element.

In this book, we begin to learn about Hawkins Hollow and the fight between good and evil that has been happening since the 1600s. I love the blend of history and present day events, and I also love the different abilities that each character has. My favourite female character in the series is Quinn Black, and she is the main character in this book, along with Cal Hawkins. You can all guess whether or not they end up together, and while that was predictable - I still enjoyed the journey there.

This a really fun read. There are scary moments, lots of funny lines, and really lovely romantic scenes. This book is an excellent set up to the story and is a great lead-in for the next book, The Hollow (which features my favourite male character in the series, Fox O'Dell!).

Three young boys go into Hawkins woods as young innocent boys excited about turning ten. A camping trip to the legendary Pagon Stone is in order. At midnight, they turn ten, and cut their wrists to form a blood pact. Blood brothers forever. They left the woods no longer innocent and each left with something they didn't have before.

Every Seven years, for seven days, Hawkins Hollow changes and things get crazy. Cal, Fox, and Gage are men and have dealt with this for years. Hiring Quinn, a woman writing a book about the town, could be good. An outsiders perspective might be the thing they need to figure out how to fix the issue.

This was so good. I love the amount of team work that goes on between the six. I think Quinn brings enough light and knowledge in to circumvent some of the unknown. I find that the history of what happened long ago in relation to what is happening now, is the perfect segue. Looking forward to book two and the next phase in defeating the darkness that came from the stone.

Good read, fast paced. Humor, friendship, romance, drama, intrigue. The book takes place in a small Maryland town where three boys open up a Pandora's Box type of scenario. This 'evil' returns every seven years and the book is basically about the three boys, who have now returned twenty-one years later---to try and stop the 'seven' cycle. Really more like a Stephen King novel (a tame Stephen King novel) than your usual Nora Roberts, it still has her style marked all over it. I enjoyed it. Good light reading but not too scary if you are used to Stephen King or Dean Koontz. Will read the whole trilogy. I am intrigued by stories that are about the Pilgrims and their history. I would recommend this to Nora Roberts fans and anyone who likes a romance story with a touch of mystery and intrigue.
