Since the last book in this series was written in january, waiting for this book felt like forever but it was definitely worth the wait. The couple met at the mmc’s party and they hooked up and later a few days later they found out that she was a volleyball player (jennsyn) and he was the football coach (toren) which is very forbidden at there school. Now in the beginning i was irritated that they decided to say away from each other but the wait was worth it.

They both had a lot of trauma that honestly made this book so deep, jennsyns mom used to play volleyball and went to the olympics and she wants the same for her daughter, but jennsyn doesnt want to do that and feels very pressured by her mom.

Also there was a scandal at her last school (stanford) where she actually had to leave because people thought she was messing with a coach but she wasn’t and her teammate told on her (thays why she doesnt trust her current teammates) for toren his uncle died and that caused a huge rift in his family.

Once the couple actually got together it was so cute omg, them sneaking around her roomates was so funny omg. Them being caught by ford was so funny. I cant wait for rally!!!

Blitz is the second book in the Treasure State Wildcats series. This book is about Toren and Jennsyn. Toren is one of the coaches of the Wildcats football team. Jennsyn is a vollyball player. One of the rules of this college is that staff can not date students.

Toren is hosting a Forth of July party, when he meets Jennsyn. They have a night together, and go their separate ways. However, life throws them a curveball when they end up being neighbors and see each other in the facility he works at often.

What happens when they fall for each other? Will it put his job at risk? So much happened in this book. From Jennsyn having someone controlling in her life, to figuring out how to fight her own battles. Torren trying to find love and happiness.

I'm hoping there is more in this series, because I loved the first two books so much

Toren Greely, one of the Treasure State football coaches, is having a 4th of July party. He was roped into hosting these a while ago when his neighborhood was pretty empty. Now, he's basically hosting a block party and he's done. Never again. Until he sees her - a tall, svelte blonde, barefoot in the grass. She smiles at him and he's a goner. When everyone leaves after the fireworks, he thinks she left too only to find her cleaning up. A smile, a touch, some nice banter and it all leads to a night with a woman who shook him to his core. So much so that he's afraid to call the number she left on a paper towel the next morning. She's a neighbor, he assumes, so they'll probably see each other around, but he needs to figure out how affected by her he is. Well, they do meet again, sooner than he expected, when he's introduced to the new volleyball star, a transfer from Stanford. There she is. A student. His career is over.
I loved Coach and I was a little apprehensive with this one as it's one of the few things that give me an ick - student/teacher (coach/athlete) romance. Being a former teacher, they always make uncomfortable. However, Devney Perry writes this one in such a way that not only was I okay with it but I was rooting for Toren and Jennsyn. I was biting my nails hoping their secret affair is never found out, at least before she graduates.
It's a lovely story. Jennsyn is 22, a senior and very mature. Toren is torn by the fact that she is younger and a student and their romance rings very true. A lot of it is because of the wonderful narration by Vanessa Edwin and Jason Clarke. Vanessa's voice conveys the vibrant and yet vulnerable spirit of young Jennsyn. Jason is charming, also vulnerable, making Toren an absolute dream.
A lovely romance with forbidden moments, furtive glances, 80s movies, a loving aunt and cousins, a "dance mom" who wants what's best for her daughter, secret moonlight meetings and heartwarming HEA.  Loved it.
Content notes: grief, toxic relationship with parents. Mentions of loss of a parent, unexpected pregnancy (not MCs)
