4 I’m-cray-for-Tessa-Bailey Stars!!!!

Tessa, I’m just gonna hire you to be my word slave and tie you up in my basement and never let you out except to write more words…..Bwahahaha! Ok, the crazy fangirl is coming out and scaring everyone so I’m gonna reign it in a little.

Mother….effing…..Reed. It’s like he jumped out of my dreams and into this book. Dark, Tattoos, Broody, Mean, Bossy. Ugh. Gimme. He is from the other side of the tracks. The bad boy. He is a SWAT team leader, so he used to bossing everyone around. Everything is black and white to him. He barely even made it to the wedding. The first time he sees Julie, she is letting her hair down, literally, and he knows he has to have her. Reed…..I want him for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and especially for dessert.

My Reed & Julie:

She switched her hips from a circular motion to a gentle front-to-back tease that allowed her to ride his length base to tip. “You like that, sugar?” she whispered, barely audible among the bass-heavy music.

He released a strangled growl against her neck. “Enough teasing. Sit down all the way and work my cock with your beautiful ass.”

Julie is the perfect southern girl. She is the maid of honor and the wedding planner. She is organized and put together. And Reed wants to mess…her…up. She doesn’t understand why she attracted to the bad boy, but her insta-lust is undeniable. She barely tries to keep away from him, and when she does let herself just let go, she becomes a brazen hussy. Lol. Reed doesn’t expect her to loosen up, but she exceeds his expectations in many creative ways. Hehehe. Reed and Julie get…it…on. Pixie-style (His nickname for her is Pixie. Lol.)

He gripped her chin and lifted her head so it faced the mirror. “Watch me. Watch me finish, baby. You need to see what you did.” When she nodded, his movements grew jerky, yet somehow even more determined. Ever so slightly, he tightened his grip on her jaw until her mouth opened from the pressure. He pushed his fingers inside. “Suck.”

That ladder scene?! Tessa, how do make a ladder scene so erotic?!!! Because I will never look at a ladder the same way again! ”Reed. I’m…I’m going to fall.”
“No. You will not fall. You will stay right there until I’m finished.”

Once again, Tessa goes above and beyond. The whole setting of this book takes place before the wedding as they groomsmen and bridesmaids are gearing up for the big event. I knew this would be a quick read, but I didn’t expect the character development to impress me so much. I absolutely loved all of the characters and enjoyed trying to figure out which groomsman will end up with which bridesmaid. I am super excited to read the other books in this series, even though they are written by different authors.

Julie Piper is a sweet, proper Southern girl spending the next six nights in a Colorado making sure her best friend’s wedding goes off without a hitch. When she encounters the dark and dangerously handsome Reed her brain tells her to run, but her body is sending entirely different signals. Reed sends her pulses racing with his very naughty, dirty mouth. Julie’s shocked by his brazenness, but she’s also secretly thrilled. When her fellow bridesmaids commit to a dare to each pick and seduce one of the groomsmen, Julie picks the best man to seduce thinking this will put any improper thoughts of Reed out of her head.

Julie is far from Reed Lawson’s usual pick. He doesn’t go for the good girl types\, but there’s something simmering beneath Julie’s layers of perfect, and Reed can’t resist. When he overhears her plot to sneak in and seduce another groomsman there’s no way he’s going to allow that to happen.

They were opposites and nothing was supposed to happen between them. Until it does and everything changes. Reed knows Julie lives in a different reality then him, but he still doesn’t want to let her go. The attraction steams up the pages which makes the pages turn faster.

This was such a fast & spicy read! I could definitely see how this series continues with all of the wedding party characters, which is a lot of fun!

This was a perfect book to introduce me to Tessa Bailey! I absolutely loved the characters! Reed...brooding and oh so fine. Dirty talk on another level. Make a girl swoon why don't you! And Julie, with her Southern charm and interesting sayings. Loved the development between these two and wish there was a novella to show what happens after the epilogue.

Side note: read this series in order. You won't regret it.

So this is one of those series where each book is written by a different author. It is set at a resort hotel where lots of singles have gathered for a week of pre-wedding entertainment. Kady and Colton are getting married and the action centres on their bridesmaids and groomsmen who, coincidentally, all seem to be pairing off (although, so far, none of them with the ones they originally wanted). I actually want to read one of the last books in the series but being the OCD person that I am, I have to at least try to read all of the earlier ones.

I skipped the first book, I think I have tried to read it, or something very similar, before and gave up. I have to say I only managed most of this one through gritted teeth. Julie Piper is the daughter of the family which sells the highly successful One-Eyed Jack whiskey, from Atlanta, she is a sweet Southern Belle who has spent countless hours planning every aspect of the week's activities. Reed Lawson is also from Atlanta, A SWAT team commander he is Julie's antithesis in every way. A kid from an abusive home, his life has been tough. When they meet they rub each other up the wrong way and yet they have explosive chemistry.

Tessa Bailey likes to write strong alpha males. I think they are borderline abusive. Hair-pulling isn't sexy it's effing painful. Also, telling someone you have only slept with once or twice that they can't do this or that with any other man ever is controlling and a big turn-off. Hence the gritted teeth. However, Reed does redeem himself because he is the only one that looks after Julie, that notices that she hasn't eaten all day because she has spent the time being the hostess with the mostest. Also, his reaction to finding out Julie had no-one to dance with brought a tear to my eye.

Each of these novellas is about a separate couple at the same week's activities so I am intrigued as to how they all fit together, even if from an objective viewpoint it is an absurd idea.
