"Brise moi le cœur, murmure-t-il. Brisé le cent fois si ça te chante. De toute façon il a toujours été à toi.
- Chut.
- Je t'aimerai jusqu'à mon dernier souffle. Chaque battement de mon cœur t'appartient. Je ne veux pas mourir sans te le dire."
C'est trop mignon. Je me demande ce que la suite nous réserve mais je pense que ce sera bien.

THIS BOOK.. OMGGGGG. MY EMOTIONS.... I CANT EVEN FEEL RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!! AHHHH THE BEST BOOK OF THE SERIES SO FAR!!!!!!!!!
Such a great conclusion to an addicting series. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
Woah, talk about a trilogy conclusion! As I've said before, the writing in these books is not as lyrical (on the whole) as that of John Green or Gayle Foreman, though the books do have shining moments of touching dialogue. What really impressed me about this book, (book 3/3 of the Selection series), was that Cass proves herself as a master of concept and plot. This was the strongest book of the three and one I'd readily recommend to teen or adult YA readers.
I frequently recommend this series to fans of MATCHED and HUNGER GAMES-- it has the love-triangle and dystopic qualities that fans of those series appreciate, and a fabulous "Bachelor/Bachelorette" basis that keeps things interesting.

This book annoys me purely bc America needs to grow up but it is still so good
I really liked the first book but as the series went on, I was disappointed and quite frankly bored. The story and the love triangle carried on for what feels like forever. I get why it would be relevant for the first and even the second book but it was pointless. Plus, I was team Aspen.
The plot wasn't even good and I found myself questioning everything. I questioned the characters, the writing, the story flow, etc. Like how can the ROYAL place get infiltrated so easily? How was America and Maxon's trust so easily gain by a group of rebels? Kris secretly being a rebel but gets frighten at any sound that's made? All of a sudden Celeste is a friend and we're supposed to feel bad for her? Yeah, the story was everywhere but what did I expect.

This series thoroughly appeased me at the end, I must confess. The third out of the three was my favourite, I must confess, and somewhat gave me "The Princess Dairies" slumber party feeling with he connection of the final girls, which I found lovely to finally have some sort of friendship there between them.
This is something I will review on my blog and edit on here once it is ready, but if you're looking for a quick series read which is lemon at points and is something that can be regarded a guilty pleasure, then The Selection is for you.

Wow! Just wow! What a great book to wrap up the trilogy. And thank you, thank you to Kira Cass for not losing sight of her characters, story, or style during the process of writing the three books. Too often that is the case with book series, but Cass beat the odds on that one,
I couldn't put this book down. I felt it build and build with every passing chapter and I never felt let down by the flow of the story. I was happy, I was sad, I was angry. This is a good thing! A book that can bring you through all the emotions is a great one. I was so riveted I had a hard time putting it down and read it faster than I had thought I would.
I appreciated America and Maxon's relationship in this book. They were real with real relationship problems. And they accepted each other's flaws. I was very much expected in the middle of the book that America and Aspen's relationship would come through and I would have to suffer through 100 pages of whining that is so typical of YA novels these days. But instead, Cass saved that reveal for the end and allowed it to be solved quickly and in a beautiful way. I knew America would end with Maxon, but I also knew the relationship had to be tested and that her secret would come out. I thought Maxon reacted as to be expected, I would've liked him to be reasonable, but he does have a part of his father's temper. It was beautiful.
All that being said, I could have gone without the bonus chapter in the end through Lucy's eyes. Super sweet that Aspen and Lucy end up together, it really is. But, at the same time, it really makes Aspen kind of a jerk to both America and Lucy. I know America was being bad too, but at least Aspen knew that America was pursuing Maxon. The same cannot be said about Aspen pursuing Lucy. I could have done without that chapter altogether.

I cried three times reading this book. Maybe I’ll update with an actual review later.
