Love the FMC and the story outside of romance that she gets and the new relationships she forms. She continues to be strong independent female character.
For the MMC it's a littler frustrating how most of his storyline is focused on his thoughts and feelings about the FMC. It would have been nice to see him have other interests or storyline.
I felt the ending was rushed and happened super quick. And totally agree with the other reviews that we need a Rian based book.

A great second novel in a fascinating world with good characters, nice spice, mystery and magic. This one was even better, though more tense, than the first as we're getting further into the plot and get to see more of the world and how the magic and old gods work. There is quite the cliffhanger ending but a lot more is wrapped up than the first novel that just ended. I'm jumping straight on to the third!
