A good conclusion! My heart broke for Grace and Wyatt as their story came full circle.

I also still want to smack Molly and tell her to SHUT UP!

I am a big fan of Denise Hunter books and so it’s painful for me to rate this one so low. Unfortunately this just didn’t live up to the standards I have for this author. I felt no connection between Wyatt and Grace and was so tired of hearing about how Grace is still a child at the age of 21. Their relationship progressed so quickly and didn’t seem natural to me. I don’t want to spoil anything but let me just say the way Wyatt and Grace resolved their past was so easy and quick. Honestly nothing felt natural in this book. I still love the author and will read her future books but this one was such a disappointment.

I'm only rating this three stars because the writing (cheesy!) and the plot (a tad outrageous and predictable)... If I think too long about certain parts in the book, I can see things that I find frustrating. The most glaring one-- Rape victims DO NOT lose their virtue!
SpoilerAlso, why doesn't Wyatt see a counselor in the end like Grace does? He had pretty severe problems but was able to work through them on his own? I much rather would have seen him get the help that he needed instead of his miracle cure. Stuff like this reenforces the stigma of men going to therapy.

Despite all of that, I was glued. I read this book way too quickly. I blushed at the cheese and most of the time happily ate it up. I needed a good fluff book. La sigh.

Also a plus, the Christian parts were lightly done. Yay!

3 Stars.

The third in a series where I recommend starting at the beginning and read each book in a row.

Three siblings have finished the renovations of an inn in their hometown after their parents passed away quickly and tragically. Now running the inn, they have had a timeline as to when they would all move on to the next phases of their lives and it is coming up soon.

The youngest sibling, Grace, was still in school when they lost her parents, but now she is 21 and operating her own business out of the inn and is ready to be a full fledged adult out of the watching eye of her siblings.

Somethings are beyond our own understanding and I felt like that was very present in this story. It was a very powerful read and I found it hard to put this book down. Grace and Wyatt both are faced with something in there past that leaves them with more questions than answers and because of that the author keeps you guessing and leaves you wondering what is going to happen next. I love the relationship between Levi, Molly and Grace its such a typical sibling relationship but at the end of the day when they need each other they are there for each other. I liked how the author didn't make either of the main characters victims but both fighters. Over all this book is a good clean read and was so worth the read. If you are following this series this book will allow you to catch up with others in the series. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

This is somewhat a review of this book... but it is also a review of the audiobook which I did not like. So, I'm not going to rate this book, because I feel like it would be unfair.

I don't know what it is, but I can't stand when a woman does a weird man voice for the main character. It's just annoying. And then you have to endure it for the entire book. I kept thinking I would adjust to it, but I didn't. I feel I would have enjoyed the book ALOT more if it had not been in audio format.

The story was a great story. I love the plot premise. The cozy mystery/suspense/romance themes were awesome. I did see the plot twist coming, but I really enjoyed watching it unfold. However, the ending of this felt more like an epilogue than an ending. And then there was an EPILOGUE... that I did not finish. But again... the audio was so difficult to press through.

This is my first book by Denise Hunter. I actually think she's a very good writer. This just wasn't my thing. And again, it likely could be because of the audio version.

I would try another book of hers, but I don't think I will do one from this series. I didn't realize I was reading this out of order. And that's really not a big deal, because I do think you can read this book without having read the others. She does a very good job of filling in the missing details. I just was so scarred by this audio version that I must get very far away.

A secret service agent dealing with PTSD, three siblings who own an inn in North Carolina, and some hiking thrown in. I enjoyed this.

Autumn Skies is the third and final book in Denise Hunter's Bluebell Inn series. While I do believe that this could be read as a standalone, I feel like the reader will get the most out of the book if they've read the series. Background information is given to some extent, but I feel like to really grasp what the inn means to the family and to better appreciate the characters, more is better.

That being said, this was a fantastic conclusion to the series. While I believe Molly's story will remain my favorite, this one certainly came in with a very close second. In Autumn Skies, the story focuses on Grace, the youngest of the Bennet siblings. I'd gotten to know Grace a bit from the previous books in the series, but enjoyed getting to know her a lot better. We are also introduced to Wyatt, a secret service agent who needs a little bit of a break and finds himself booking a room at the Bluebell Inn as he sought out a confrontation with his past. Sparks fly when these two meet...and boy do they fly, right off the pages! I loved their fantastic chemistry, and their story was intriguing and unique... and quite the message of how God can weave our lives together so beautifully for His good.

Overall, this was a fantastic read, and a great conclusion to the series... though I must admit that I enjoyed this series so much that I wasn't quite ready for it to end! Still, I know whatever Denise Hunter puts out next will be just as fantastic...and I cannot wait!

**I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher for consideration. All thoughts are 100% my own.
