What happens in Vegas...

Never stays there. Holy information overload! The hits keep on coming.

While this is not my first, second, or even third reading of this book, I am always pulled in like it's the first. Van Dyken writes mafia magic. Intricate plot lines and crazy rabbit hole details leave readers on edge and begging for more.

What better than murder and mayhem!? Well, Vegas honeymoon turned mob powwow with explosive...repercussions?!

Rachel Van Dyken has definitely topped the action and intrigue in the previous novels of this series. However, I know it is only going to get more intense- especially after Mo drops her little bomb.

Have I Entice-d you yet? My dreams of being one of EE are still there. Hold your tears because once Phoenix's letter gets ahold of you, you'll be done.

You can hate and love them at the same time. You will yearn for them. You will beg for more time. Just don't touch the Elect, or talk to them, or look at them.

P.S. You should probably read this in a locked room because I swear Luca watches all who follow along.

Entice is the third book in Rachel Van Dyken's Eagle Elite series, and it picks up right after the ending of Elect. This book should only be read after you have finished Elite and Elect. I have been ready for Chase's story ever since he was first introduced, and it was better than I ever expected. This series is fantastic, and I absolutely love these characters. If you are a new adult fan, this series is an absolute must read. I have never read anything like these books before, and I love that I never know what will happen next!

Chase Winter was left heartbroken when the love of his life slipped through his fingers and chose his best friend Nixon. Needing to focus on something else, Chase says yes to a favor from Mil and decides to think about someone else for the first time in his life. That favor turns out to be marriage to the girl whose innocence he stole when they were kids, and who also happens to be the new boss of the De Lange family. Mil has always loved Chase and knew that he would keep her safe, which is why she chose him when she needed help. But now that they are married, she begins to wonder if she made a mistake. Chase took her heart years before, but now she needs to shut herself down in order to keep him from also taking her soul. But when more secrets are revealed and their lives are once again in danger, will she be able to stay away from her sexy husband?

I have loved Chase since the very beginning of this series. He is so easy to like and fall in love with. He is such a great guy and would go to the ends of the earth for those he loves. He has always had this easy going vibe about him and was always the one to offer comfort to those in need. But he also has this whole other dangerous side to him, and you could tell that he wasn't afraid to unleash it when needed. I loved that he was so fierce about those he cared about and he was even that way about Mil before he realized his feelings for her. I liked seeing him realize that his friendship with Tracey and his love for her were not what he had originally thought. They were friends and had a strong connection, but Mil was actually the love of his life. I loved seeing them fall for each other and build on the connection that had started between them so many years before. I liked Mil a lot. We didn't really know her that well before Entice, but she grew so much over the course of this book. With Nixon and Chase's help, she went from being a tough girl to being a mob boss. She was strong and feisty, and she was scary when she had to be. I liked that even though she was tough, she was able to show her softer side with Chase. They were great together, and I think that they were the perfect match for each other. They also had a ton of chemistry and I loved that they had such history together.

Overall, this was another fantastic addition to this series and these books just keep getting better! I absolutely love every thing about these stories and characters, and they are so unique. Rachel Van Dyken has a way of creating these characters that seem so real and believable, and even when they are doing crazy things you never stop rooting for them. I cannot ever remember reading a series when I love all the characters and can't honestly give you a favorite. Usually there are at least a few that stand out, but honestly with the Eagle Elite series I love them all for completely different reasons. They are all different and original, and yet with each new character introduced you can't help but love them just as much as those that came before. I will admit that Tex completely surprised me in this book. I had known there was more to him and that we had just barely scratched the surface with his character. But after Entice, I feel like I didn't really know him at all! I am so intrigued with him and Mo and can't wait to get their story next! This book was darker than Elite, but like Elect I really enjoyed seeing more of their world and getting more of the details and their history. This series is an absolute must read, and I feel so invested in these characters and the stories. I highly recommend this series and I look forward to reading more from Rachel Van Dyken.

Another addictive addition to the Elite world.

Chase and Mil were fantastic together. I loved that they had history and even in the previous book it felt like these 2 it was inevitable they would end up together but nothing is ever easy for this group.

I can't get enough of these characters. Each book is a romance but this group of childhood friends, the Elect have so much deeper of a connection towards one another than normal friends. I love the story, of course the love story but also the guys story, the friendship, the loyalty and honestly it's more than that, it's so much deeper.

This series is consuming me and I love it.

An interesting take on the mafia romance genre. The characters are interesting enough to keep me reading the series, though I feel like it leans heavily on a lot of mafioso stereotypes.

This series is amazing! I've loved each book but this one might have been my favorite so far. I love the witty banter between Chase and Mil.

I enjoyed Entice more than I thought I would. After the last book in this series I wasn't even sure I wanted to read Entice. I didn't like Chase in the last book and I only read it just to see what would happen. I had to just not think too hard about the storyline and the timeline of events and stuff to be okay with everything. Especially if you have read the first two books. I understand making it so that Chase was not really in love with Trace and moving on to someone else, but to do that this quickly was a little...I just had to not think about it and then I enjoyed it. Then it was fine.

Where the last book left off was with Trace and Nix reconciled and Chase super depressed because he loves Trace. Mil needs his help, needs him to marry her for protection. So this book starts off with them getting married. Chase is still in love with Trace, it hasn't been very long since he 'lost' her, but he is stepping up to help Mil because he is a good guy. Mil is also the girl he lost his virginity to, and she to him, so there is history between them. Mil is always angry with Chase, always being prickly with Chase and Chase loves it. They both find the other attractive and from the moment they are married Chase is just like all caveman Mil is mine!! From the moment he first kisses her again out of annoyance he is just like mine!! All mine!! She is mine!! It was a bit not realistic, but if you just go with it then fine. Of course there is some mob drama and their honeymoon to Vegas gets sidetracked by death and destructions, but pretty quick they both realize they love each other. They can't live without each other. Again way too quick, Chase moved on way too quickly from Trace, but if you just didn't think about t too much it was fun.

The mob drama was also resolved way too easily but eh. It was just a fun book. The one thing I didn't like though, and I think it was supposed to be humorous but I really didn't like it, was how often/how easily everyone draws their gun on everyone else. Trace points her gun at Nix all the time if he says something that she doesn't like even a smidgen. Everyone instantly points their gun at everyone else if they do something small that they don't like. It was....I know they are good with guns and all but what if something happens? An accident? You would really be able to live with yourself if you shot and killed the love of your life because you had a gun pointed at them because of something stupid? I also felt like there was way too much Nix and Trace in this book. Like half of the chapters were Nix chapters and I just found them both to be annoying in this book. Trace is just obsessed with being married asap and Nix was just...I just didn't like them much. It made me think did I even like them? Did I really like them in the first book? Because how they were in this one was not good. It was like everyone flipped for me. I didn't like Chase in the last book, but I liked him in this one. I liked Trace but didn't like her now. Odd. Still a fun read, maybe my favorite Rachel Van Dyken books.

I love Rachel Van Dyken. She's an amazing writer. Ruin is one of my favorite reads from 2013 and Wes is in my top 10 Book Boyfriends ever. So, it's hard for me to explain why I haven't read the Eagle Elite series before now? The only answer I can think of is: I'm stupid! This is the third in the series and it's my favorite. I absolutely loved this book. The writing is outstanding. I've been #TeamChase since I read Elite. I know, I know. I love Nixon, I do, but there's just something about Chase that drew me in. His sexiness, his witty personality, his hero complex, his enormous heart. And, he's not afraid of who he is. And, I have to admit, the guns and fighting to protect what he loves? HOT! He's dangerous, but only to his enemies. Chase has to marry Mil to protect her. They have a history, so there is already sexual tension and witty banter. He's still reeling from his love for Trace, but he's trying to move on. Mil is hilarious! I love her. She's strong and independent and has a lot of power, but she's hiding a very horrible past. She needs to face it to save the lives of everyone who is trying to help her. They have a palpable connection and I couldn't put the book down. And, of course we see Nixon, Trace, Tex and Mo. We learn more about the strained relationship between Mo and Tex and there were a few times where I said outloud "I didn't see that coming!" This book has all of my favorite things: different POV's (it has 3 - Chase, Mil and Nixon), angst, mystery, love, sex, and humor. There's also a nice dose of sadness in this book as well as action. I cried, laughed, screamed, smiled and got all tingly! I can't wait for Tex's story! Bring it on!!

I didn't know what the hell I was doing, all I knew was that she called out to me, she was my siren song, and i was lost at sea.

Married. We were married. So breast? Totally okay. Fine. Not a problem.

"Will you please get off your very nice ass, find something to cover your delectable body, and do it a speed that doesn't make me want to murder someone for breakfast?" -Nixon

Chase: Already through security, see you on the other side, man.
Me:Going though now
Chase: Okay
Me: Trace asked how we fly. As is our Family.
Chase:Uh, was she serious?
Me: extremely.
Chase: that made my day.
Me: Mine too

Chase naked.
Chase. Was. Naked.
Damn, I wanted to run my tongue along the trails the water created. My breathing picked up - and I swore under my breath as the same towel ran down his ridiculously tight abs.

Damn beautiful man. God should have at least taken pity on the female race and made him short or fat or anything but what I was starting at. I muscled god with dark skin, bright green eyes and a smile that make a girl immediately want to do anything she could to trap him into marriage.

I want you to know. I want you to freaking feel. I want you to believe me when I say I want you. I like you. I trust you. I live to protect you. And I only do what I want to do.....Pick up the broken pieces of your tragically shattered heart. let me glue them back together again so you can get that damn look off your face and let me kiss you. -Chase

"Screw the white knight...I want to be your savior." -Chase
