Hab's gleich an einem Stück gelesen. Ich konnte und wollte es gar nicht zur Seite legen. Kann ich Band 2 schon haben??
Und dieses Cover! Ein Traum!!!

In my book, that's cheating

I did not know I was going to love this book as much as I did!

Our FMC, Corey is starting her first year of college and it’s under much different circumstances than she could have ever imagined. During her senior year of high school she had an accident that ended up causing her to become a paraplegic so she’s truly learning how to navigate life in a whole new way.

She is assigned a dorm room to accommodate her wheelchair and therefor meets her new neighbor, Adam Hartley.

Adam has also been put in his particular dorm room due to breaking his leg and needing different accommodations.

They find even ground through their experiences and we get to watch their friendship bloom into something far more special.

I absolutely adored Hartley and his treatment of Corey. He always tried to make her feel normal and like she wasn’t defined by her wheelchair. He truly saw her and I think that meant more to her than anything.

I HIGHLY recommend this book. It’s a fairly easy and quick read and Sarina Bowen’s writing style is just fantastic!

I liked it, pretty standard romance stuff.

This was a quick read. I liked the premise, but I think that Corey's disability was used more as a plot device than it should have. I know this was written a few years ago now, and maybe if it was written now, it would be written in less of an ableist way.

4.5 Stars!

Took me a couple chapters to really get into the story but it sure sucked me in after that! Couldn't put it down and read it in one day. I kind of wanted to punch Hartley for about half of the book but he did come through in the end!

This book blew me away. Like actually sucked the breath right out of me.
In a good way ofcourse.

Sarina Bowen exceeded my expectations, when I read the synopsis I wasn't expecting something so raw and so real to come from that story.

Our main girl despite her limitations, has amazing strength and determination. She's also courageous, fun and for the most part happy.

Our main dude has his own demons, and a superficial relationship with the classical IT girl, but that relationship doesn't entirely factor in because she's in Europe experiencing some uh.. extra curricular activities.

Corey & Adam's friendship is built on a solid foundation of their shared yet utterly different "gimpness". While Adam helps Corey to find who she was post-accident, Corey helps Adam come to terms with who he is and where his heading.

These two are goals.

Hmmn, this is probably my least favorite SB book
