All three books in this series are outstanding. The last was my favorite. Really relatable characters and a storyline that is unique enough to not be predictable. A great read.

This was a terrific book. Full of suspense with many turns to follow. Now I have to go back and read the first 2 McMurtie & Drake legal thrillers.

Hold up..... HOLD UP! Wait, WHAT????? Now, that little truth bomb in this one? I saw it coming. I had a feeling. But, still. The way it was delivered? It was everything!
This book, like the previous books in this series, flows and wows the reader like not many books I have read in the past. In the previous books, you pretty much knew who was responsible for what. You may have not known all the key players, but most was clear. However, not this time. I didn't see that coming. I can't say I'm disappointed.
The vengeance doled out in this book was bittersweet. There is nothing better than the bad guys getting what they deserve. Everything with all of the characters really starts to unravel in this one. I couldn't put it down.
Now, on to the next book. Since I already read the first book in the next series, which is connected to this one, I have an idea of some of the things that will happen in the final book in the series, but I can't wait to read it all play out!

For some reason, I love to read legal thrillers during the summer. The Last Trial by Robert Bailey is the third book in the McMurtrie and Drake series. I really like this series, it was perfect for my legal thriller craving. I can only hope that Mr. Bailey will continue to write. I am looking forward to the next one.

And I am hooked! Bailey has me so enamored with the characters, I am plowing through all I can find about McMurtrie, Drake, and all their Alabama friends. As a good Georgia fan, I've worked at getting passed "Roll Tide" and loved every minute of the legal thriller.
Bailey has done a nice job of both tying together plots from the first two novels without losing a first time reader in the carried over storyline. The story is one that is intriguing as McMurtrie defends an unlikely townsperson and is pulled deeper and deeper in by her daughter.
Enjoy the writing, the town, the law, and all Bailey has to offer. As in the first two books of the series he does not disappoint.
