Can I just say "DAMN! Mr. Ryan, can I be yours???" The sexual tension was totally off the charts from start to finish. This book kept me turning the pages. I loved the whole "love-hate" relationship between Chloe and Bennett. It made the story a lot more interesting and added all kinds of drama. I know this book was not for everybody, but I like my romance novels with some bite to them and this fit the bill. Definitely worth the read.

I loved this book . A great start to the series

2.5-3 Stars

This was almost a 2-starrer, but the last 30% or so really redeemed it for me. It’s chock full of sex scenes and predictable tropes (I mean, it is fan fiction, I believe), but it has elements unique and compelling enough to see it through. At least, it did for me.

I really liked the heroine—the hero was a bit one dimensional for me—and her voice and actions. The office setting was fun, and the dynamic between the leads was a little addicting, though repetitive.

I’d read a follow-up featuring these two, but probably not the rest of this series. I’m afraid it’ll be too trite. I do want to read book one in CL’s other contemporary romance series. Fingers crossed it’s good.

Beautiful Bastard is a beautiful read. I was completely engrossed in this novel. I stayed up until 3am reading it and was completely annoyed with my body for needing sleep! I enjoyed the characters equally, but I loved the fact that Chloe stood up for herself. All too often women are portrayed as victims to powerful men, but Chloe was anything but a victim. She was determined and strong, sexy and passionate, and very intelligent. This girl could hold her own with no problem.
