God, this was so good! I love Noah & Mack together and also having their fake relationship not be like all the hundred others I've read. Noah 120% falls first here while Mack is just like "the sex is good 🤷🏻♀" and I love seeing a man simping 🤭
With all the tropes, I was scared that this was gonna become one of those books that only consisted of tropes but everything was really fast-paced and I managed to read this so quickly.
The A/B/O stuff is well done but I don't think we would've needed the shifting! Just makes the worldbuilding that much more complicated and I feel like it didn't add much. Still torn on whether "alphas get discriminated against, too!" is really the storyline we need but it was also a nice new twist
Such a feel-good romance with amazing smut, 10/10 would rec

Also it’s 5🌶️.
This is a new favorite book, and I don’t care what that says about me.
Reads a lot like an Ali Hazelwood novel but MORE SPICY? I’m obsessed.

This is A/B/O and yes there is knotting in the smut scenes, as well as scenting and possessiveness. There's also pressure from Mackenzie's and Noah's families for them to have children but nothing more serious than "it would be nice to have grandchildren". The medical content is also mostly just the fact that they work in a hospital and are both doctors. And a lot of stuff at the beginning are hand waved as "hormones" by both MCs.znrtr's review against another edition

The outing + stalking is related to A/B/O dynamics and someone accessing the MMC’s medical records to blackmail them.modock's review against another edition

I will say, the word "alpha" has enough bad associations for me that it made the book a bit less enjoyable for me, especially since the "alpha/omega" thing is both a big part of the plot and, from what I understand, the specific subgenre. Which, I don't mean to yuck anybody's yum, truly. I guess I'm just finding that certain romance tropes are not to my taste, particularly ones that involve a type of masculinity that has to do with dominance. But, to each their own.
