Funny book

If you’re interested in the Wim Hof Method, you’re better off just watching a few of his YouTube videos and downloading the app. I came to this book because I was interested in more info on the method. However the whole thing is super repetitive, and the last half is pretty much all hippie dippy mumbo jumbo. Even though I might continue doing the cold showers, the book left me less interested than before I read it.

I read this to learn about the breathing techniques, and now I'm convinced I should try cold showers (but I'll still have to see if I actually do them).
adventurous informative inspiring slow-paced

I enjoyed. Wim has app available

Drie sterren voor het boek, vijf sterren voor de methode

At one point in the book, Hof describes leading training sessions for Navy SEALS by saying that he prepared nothing ahead of time, and waited for "the moment to come to him."

It's clear that's how the book was written, too. Nothing against the message itself or his methods. But the writing was all over the place. The book reads like one long rambley mess that jumps from random anecdote to anecdote with far too frequent rants about awakening human spirit or whatever sprinkled in. DNF.

Rarely do you read a fairly simple method to radically improve your life, but this has that potential.
