Pretty solid thriller. I did enjoy the ending, which is where most thrillers fall short, I just don’t think this is going to be super memorable to me.

Miles and miles better than the programme and I really enjoyed that.

Maya is a female Army Captain with PTSD and she is trying very hard to reenter civilian life. The book opens, however, at her husband's funeral which now means she is a single mother of a toddler as well as a widow. When her friends gives her a nanny cam, Maya isn't sure if she is seeing things due to PTSD or what. As clues begin to emerge, this tale goes on a wild ride of deception. A Colombo-like detective, emotionally distant wealthy mother-in-law, borderline alcoholic brother-in-law, loyal soldier friend, and more combine so that the reader never quite knows who the good guys are nor what the truth is. This has a pretty shocking conclusion. Good read that will keep you up well into the night.

Really enjoyed this one! The plot was interesting and kept me engaged. It wasn’t a “wow! I’m blown away” ending, but I did really enjoy the storyline and book overall. Excited to watch the series on Netflix now!

Another AMAZING book by my favorite author! I thought I had it all figured out, but those last couple of twists really shocked me! The Sherlock Holmes mentions were awesome, and so was the mention of my favorite character :)

Another read where I just couldn’t put it down.

I recently watched a Netflix series based on this book and decided to read it to compare it with the series. However, apart from the series being set in the UK, there weren't many differences. Maybe that's why I didn't enjoy the book as much as I thought I would. Since I already knew the ending, it felt a bit tedious to get there. Moreover, Maya, the main character, did not appeal to me as sympathetic. I think this is it for me and Harlan Coben. His writing does not blow me away.

Fine. Fine. I see why these are so popular. It was like a movie. Fast fast read. Only missing one star because I did not feel 100% satisfied by the ending.

I almost gave this 4 stars. It definitely had a twist I didn't see coming! For me, the writing style just didn't measure up. But then again, I'm always overly critical when a male author writes a woman's POV. So enjoyable mystery, good main character, I might try reading another Harlan Coben!
