Probably my LEAST favorite book in the whole series
Did I finish it? Yes. But I powered through because 1) it’s Ty and Zane and 2) I’m 7 books deep now and so I’m committed damnit!
The worst part is not the plot (although it was way too ridiculous to be taken serious. Think Clue but make it gay and add -only a little bit of- banter and snark) but the fact that it felt more like a stepping stone into Nick and Kelly’s relationship than a Ty and Zane book! They felt like the secondary couple even though these are their books and that shift in protagonist didn’t work for me

I didn't feel this one was as good as the others in the series. As much as I love Nick and Kelly, this one felt more like a Sidewinder story than a cut & run one. I absolutely loved Touch & Geaux so maybe this one felt a bit disappointing because it wasn't as good.

3.5 Stars.

Honestly what can I say about this book that hasn't been mentioned before. Either by me for the previous ones in the series, or by others in regards to this particular book. These guys are seriously addictive!

Unlike some other reviewers, I didn't have any issue with Nick and Kelly sharing the spotlight. I love both of these guys as well and I was happy to read more about them. The chemistry between them is just as hot as it is between Zane and Ty.

The suspense is again excellent, and all the twists and turns in the plot leave you guessing until the very end. There is a lot less sex in this book in comparison with previous ones, but I have to admit I didn't miss it either. It's definitely a book I didn't want to put down and I was sad when I had finished it!

Not quite up to [b:Touch & Geaux|16159276|Touch & Geaux (Cut & Run, #7)|Abigail Roux|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1353342638s/16159276.jpg|22000005] but still great! Plenty of mystery and action. This episode also focused on Nick and Kelly, two of Ty's friends and colleagues and this is where I felt a bit cheated. I rushed into reading this as I had to see if Ty came back in one piece, now that Zane has finally said yes I will take a breather before reading [b:Crash & Burn|22890587|Crash & Burn (Cut & Run, #9)|Abigail Roux|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1427504719s/22890587.jpg|42460614]

I loved all of the previous books but struggled to finish this one. I can't believe they were written by the same person. The dip in quality was quite extreme. Most of the characters were barely recognizable, the emotions and reactions were off, the story was completely nonsensical (the whole series is, but again, this was a new extreme). Very disappointing. Hopefully the last book is better.

Hmm. I must say this one's my least fave so far. I don't know there's just something lacking in there that I can't put my finger to. Took me weeks to finish. I still love Zane and Ty tho. And Kelly and Nick!

I'm onto the last book and I'm not ready to part ways with the boys I'm so glad we still have the Sidewinder spin-offs!

Edit: finding and fixing typos months later cos if I don't I'll lose my mind

Io non darò 4 stelline solo per il finale, anche se è stato romanticissimo e finalmente qualcuno ha detto sì. Forse è un spoiler forse no...

Not my favorite or the best.
Spoiler
1. I just want to know if the whole plan was put into motion after Ty and Zane agreed to go to the wedding or before because de la vega set this up a couple months in advance, but they decided somewhat last minute to have the wedding in the family home in scotland. He’s obviously having Zane monitored, but how did he know about the wedding?

2. WE GOT NICK AND KELLY’S PROPOSAL BEFORE TY AND ZANE’S???? ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME??? These last-thought a-holes are getting there own series, why couldn’t that have been put in their’s? I have yet to get on the Nick/Kelly bandwagon, so that really fucking pissed me off.

3. Also, the reasons why Zane wanted Ty to ask the “right” way were valid. They did need to get to know each other again and that just didn’t happen. At all. There was too much telling and not showing when it came to Ty and Zane in general. Don’t really read this series for the plot/case of the week, but for the emotional pull Ty and Zane give me and that was practically non-existent.

4. But I LOVED the proposal. LOVED IT LOVED IT. I wish I’d got to see Ty ~realize~ what Zane wanted. Again, by us/the reader seeing them getting to know each other again. But you buy me a fucking house and saying we can start fresh, I’d be putty in your hands for sure.

I just hope the next book ends with more than Ty and Zane being secondary characters in their own series.
