This was a the perfect intro for these characters. We got to see Beckett as a writer and in his sexual exploration. I haven't read a book were the character hires some help to help them figure out their kinks in a healthy safe way. This made me like the book a lot.

Loved how Beckett was inexperienced and a little awkward but he still took the step to get to know himself better. I especially loved how he incorporated what be learned and liked into the book he writes ✍️.

We got introduced to two people. One is Lola and I'm very interested in seeing how her relationship with Beckett comes to be and just excited for them. The other one was the person that helped Beckett in his kink journey. Marina seems like such a fun down to earth person and cannot wait to see if she gets her own book!!

Again this was the perfect intro into these characters and their story. Now I need to go check out the rest of the booksss.

I am not sure what I was expecting when I sat down to read this book, but I know I could have never expected the fabulously funny and superbly spicy masterpiece that I got. From the very first page I quickly learned that nothing was going to be typical about this book, and I absolutely loved that. The story unfolds with a witty inner dialog of the main character, Beckett, and his less than normal existence, and journey of personal growth and realizations. I don't remember the last time I laughed out loud so often while reading, I adore and could not get enough of Beckett. causing me to sit down and read this in one sitting! Because this is a Prequel, it does end on a cliffhanger, which is understandable, did its job in making me long for the next book in the series, but is annoying non the less.
Overall, I found this to be one of the best, and funniest stories I have ever read. I highly recommend this to all romance readers.

This is a quick read that is a prequel for an upcoming series. It is spicy and ends with a cliffhanger. I enjoyed it and look forward to the actual series.

Writer‘s Block (The Prequel) by Georgia Rayne is a novella in preparation for a duet in a series called the Unpublished Story. We basically are introduced to Beckett, Marina and Lola who are characters we will see in the duet. This book is funny, steamy and just a quick fun read. A great introduction to what I suspect will be a fabulous duet. I can not wait to read the rest of the story especially after reading this!

Georgia Rayne is coming to a kindle near you! This is the book you must read today! A male writer using a female pen name, writing smut. Does that not sound amazing??? This prequel to an upcoming duology blew me away. We have present day, we past days, and then we are back to present days with what I just know will be an important character.

I can't scream this enough, READ THIS NOW!!! It's a short one, so hit it between your next TBR's..

Ohh yes, please give me more

This was the debut novella for this author. I loved how the story started in the author's mind, writing a detailed, intimate scene.
Beckett isn't your typical romance author. He writes under Becky Lovegood, the man behind the name, with 23 novels written.
I loved how we found out about Marina and what he learned from her, how he learned to explore kinks safely not only to use in his writing but for what he liked. This part, although it was serious for him, made me laugh because of some of his internal dialog. In some ways, I was rooting for a relationship with Marina, but you'll have to see what happens there. I like her character and hope to see more of her in the following two books.
This was left on a cliffhanger to open the door for the next book, but it was a great beginning.

Wonderful start to an amazing series.

For a first book, Georgia Raine knocks it out of the park with Writer's Block: The Prequel. This is the start of a fantastic series, with so much more to come.
What do you do when you are an author of smutty romance novels but are still an inexperienced virgin? You do research of course.
Beckett has started to make a living as an author, but his fans want more smut.
Writer's Block is the beginning of Beckett's adventure into the world of kink.
I highly recommend, if you want to read something new, you check out the first book written by the wonderful Georgia Raine.

Short but definitely not lacking in entertainment. Beckett is endearing and sexy. And the quick look we get into Lola shows she is going to be a force to be reckoned with. Writers Block is a quick beginning to a story that leaves you desperate to learn what happens.
