Book Review: Honor on the Cape ( Cape Van Buren Book 2)
Author: MK Meredith
Five Stars
This is the second book in the Cape Van Buren Series and it can totally be a stand alone. There are characters from the first book in this one and there may be some spoilers if you haven't read the first but it is not a must.
Blayne is heading back to Ireland as soon as she helps her friends get their Conservation Park up and running. After 10 years of not speaking to her father, she is ready to go home and make peace with him and ask him for forgiveness for leaving in the first place.
James is back at the Cape and is determined to make amends with Blayne and prove to her he was wrong for leaving all those years ago and leaving her alone.
Can they make things work or will things blow up and they never reconcile?
I enjoyed this book as much as I did the first. I will be keeping my eyes open for the next one.

Honor on the Cape (Cape Van Buren #2)

I am so in love with this story it’s untrue! I laughed and I loved! I loved book 1 in this series but this one absolutely topped it! I loved all of the characters but Jamie – oh my gosh I am so in love with him! I get he made a mistake but he did everything he could to make it up to Blayne. I did love Blayne as well, she had a great feisty attitude and I love that she made Jamie work for it!! But I was secretly rooting for this couple; they were so, so perfect for each other! I loved seeing Larkin and Ryker from book 1 again and I really can’t wait for Claire and Mitch’s story! I have really taken all of these characters into my heart!
I really love the authors writing style, her stories are such a pleasure to read. The pace and flow is great and her characters are truly amongst some of the best that I have read about. I can’t wait for more to come from this author and her fabulous Cape Van Buren series!

Honor on the Cape an On the Cape Novel ( Cape Van Buren #2)
By MK Meredith
Rated 4 stars

This is a sweet second chance romance book filled with laughs, witty banter and of course love. The first reconnection of Blayne and Jamie set the tone for the rest of the book. Jamie wanted to get back what he gave away all those years ago. Blayne would give him no chance..at least on the outside. Inside she was soaking in as much of him as could until he left again. Since that’s what he does....leaves.
Jamie made a mistake 10 years ago. Now he wants to fix it and never let Blayne go again. Jamie’s job (convincing Blayne) was a tough one (not that he doesn’t deserve it) and she didn’t make it easy on him. It seemed he took 4 steps forward and then 2 steps back. I was glad to see he realized his error and was convinced to get the girl. With a little help from their friends and the townsfolk it might get accomplished before she leaves the Cape for good.
Blayne, a poor Irish Girl, was left stranded in the Cape and had to make a life for herself when Jamie left her. I could really feel how much this bothered her and gave her some trust issues. She made a good life for herself and just now had earned money to get back to Ireland to see her family. Welcome back Jamie. Things will be changing or will they?On a side note she was a Roller Derby girl. There were a few scenes but I kinda wish it played a bigger role.

Maxine, her moonshine and her comments! What’s not to love? They tell the truth and usually make me laugh and say “Wha? Did she just say that?” Ha ha ha see I’m smiling and laughing now. I love how her and the Mavens interfere with the younger generation to help their love lives along. Sometimes sneakily other just right in front of them. Ha ha ha so good! Great character!
The writing in this story flowed to nicely. It kept my interest and the characters were great. I enjoyed how I could picture these places and the characters. Nice descriptions! Not too much for me to lose focus but enough to set the scene. I loved when Jamie would talk in his low and deep emotional voice to Blayne...I could hear that in my head! I also loved when they went to visit his parents...very eye opening.
Claire and Mitch...what’s going on with them..stay tuned for the next book.

Honor on the Cape: an on Cape novel (Cape Van Buren Book 2) by MK Meredith is the second book in her Cape Van Buren series. This series can be read as a stand-alone but I highly recommend reading all of the books in this series to get the full enrichment of this series. I enjoyed this story by this author. This is a second chance story that is heartwarming and will pull at your heartstrings in parts. I enjoy this author's writing skills as she has the ability to pull you right into the story with ease. One of the my favorite things about his author is how she can pull at my heartstrings and leave me wanting more from these characters. Her characters are both connectable and true to life. They took me on an emotional roller coaster ride of various emotions. This is the story of Blayne and James. Ten years ago he left her in a country by herself with a broken heart. She knows that she needs to make good for herself so that when she returns home she won't be accused of dishonoring her family. What will happen when she is offered a job that will give her honor to herself and her family? When James is asked to help her at her new job, will she fall for him all over again? He knows that he never should have left her but he is determined not to let that affect him and getting her back. Will her honor be restored? Is there a HEA in their future? I enjoyed both of these characters. Blayne is such a strong woman that I felt compassion for her. She was just broken by him but yet she managed to do what she needed to do. I wasn't sure what to think of James in the beginning because he just left her with nothing and no one not to mention he crushed her. I did enjoy his determination in doing what was right. The secondary characters are supportive that added suspense and laughter to this story. I enjoyed them for sure. I highly recommend this story. Find out if Blayne and James will find their HEA or if fate has something else in store for them.

Honor On The Cape is the second book in the Cape Van Buren Series by MK Meredith. It is a beautiful contemporary romance that is packed full of emotion, spice and romance. Having read the first book, I was really happy to find that this book was available, and I hoped that it would grab me as much as book one did. I really enjoyed this book and it is every bit as good as the first.
Blayne and James (Jay) were such great characters. I was intrigued by their situation right from the beginning and had to find out how their story would end. They have history, a painful past that has affected them both over the years. Now they find that they will be working on the same project together. Will they be able to put their pain and past aside to get the job done? Or will memories of the past be too hard to deal with? Will old feelings resurface and the spark they once shared be reignited? Will Blayne return home, or will she find a reason to stay? You really should read this wonderful story and find out all the wonderful details for yourself! You are sure to love it too!
As with the previous book- I loved everything about this- from the amazing story that is so full of feeling; to the wonderful characters that stole my heart and drew me into their story; to the beautiful setting in which the author placed her story and which the author described in such detail that I was transported there alongside the characters; and then add the authors bold, vivid and sexy style and I was completely captivated and couldn’t put the book down.
I will definitely be reading her next book!

Thank you Ms. Meredith!

This is my second book by this author and after reading the first in this series I had already fallen in love with her writing but after this one I have fallen in love with her. I was really looking forward to this book and after reading it I can not wait for the next in this series, I love Claire and am so glad she is getting her own story.

I just love the atmosphere this author has built around Cape Van Buren...I want to move there, I want to meet all of these characters and especially Maxine and the North Cove Mavens..She is one of my favorite parts of both of these books.

Blayne and Jaime’s story is one of heartbreak and finding their way through all of the anger...She gave up everything for him, yet he left the minute an opportunity presented itself. All she wants to do now after all these years is go home and make things right with her da, but she feels like she needs to be worthy of his forgiveness. When Jaime returns to work on a project that they have been teamed up on can they find their way through everything that has happened, can she ever forgive him? Will she go home or find her heart on the cape?

I recommend this author and these books highly. She has an awesome writing style and her books flow beautifully...I loved it and will be one of the first in line for the next.

Honor on the Cape an On the Cape novel, Cape Van Buren is the second book in the series by M.K. Meredith. This book follows on from Love on the Cape and is every bit as enjoyable as the first. This second chance story is heartwarming and funny as well. M.K's writing weaves its way into your heart and right into the story with these wonderful characters and leaves you wanting more. What a rollercoaster.

He left her ten years earlier in a country strange country all by herself with a broken heart but after pulling herself together, she has created a great life, with wonderful friends. But when he returns is set to break her heart all over again? Will she let him get that close to her again? Will he be able to gain her trust back?

I laughed and cried and laughed some more. The secondary characters are a hoot. I cannot wait for Claire’s story, I hope it’s in the works.
