I knew early on this book was going to get a two star. it was just interesting enough for me to keep reading but I honestly hated all the characters. the ending is what made it go down to a one star. I mean really that was a really shitty ending.

Sadly, this book was not for me. The writing was flowery and poetic, and I really liked that aspect, but I just could not get into the story. Maggie was young, but Theo was not, and somehow, he was more immature than she was. There was a lot of typical virginal FMC / playboy MMC with secret trauma situations, but I didn’t find any of the characters particularly likable, so that made it difficult to see past the trope. I wasn’t rooting for anyone. They all just seemed a little miserable.

There was an overall feeling of melancholy throughout the entire story, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but it would have been nice to have some levity at some points. It made it a bit difficult to finish.

I also wasn’t a huge fan of the pacing. It seemed like we got hints of what the main characters were dealing with throughout the book, and then as soon as there was a revelation, it was over. And I didn’t love the ending, though I suppose it was maybe the most realistic ending for these characters. But I do wish we got something a bit more satisfying.

Overall, I don’t agree with the reviews that say this is just about hooking up in Italy. Because there wasn’t actually very much hooking up. There were a couple of spicy scenes, but nothing crazy.

The audiobook narration was well-done, so that was a win. The narrators appropriately conveyed the melancholy feel of the story.

Thank you to Hachette and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this ALC.

this did leave a gaping hole in my heart for how vastly sad it is but definitely a recommendation for people who might want to try literary fiction-adjacent works.

i’m not sure why exactly i liked this but i did - some GREAT lines but didn’t love the flow? certain plot choices? maybe the characters themselves? i think there were a lot of ideas at play for these characters that could have been edited down and then developed further into both of them i feel like a lot of the book was spent with just attraction and then once i felt like they actually were getting to know each other the book was over but THAT BEING SAID once i got into it i couldn’t put it down so i’d rate it a 3.5 but im giving it a 4 because i ā¤ļø cameron and overall i think this was a nice debut from her and i’ll still be tuning into any of her future releases i think this will be a great starting point for her to keep developing her writing just like how emhen and ali keep getting better with each of their releases i think she’ll only become a stronger author!

it read like a wattpad book and not even one of the like okay ones that i could see getting published after some editing. like this is genuinely just not good lmao

I’ll Look for You Everywhere by Cameron Capello
Contemporary romance. International setting, European.
A family weeding in a sleepy Italian wedding, reunites Magdalen and Theo after seven years of consciously avoiding each other. Once they both arrive in Italy, they are drawn to each other, unable to resist their feelings for each other.

It’s a beautiful love story in a gorgeous setting. There is a constant push and pull between them, loss, regrets, hope, and so very much hurting. So much angst. I found myself pulling back from getting engaged with this couple because of their fear and drama.
I’d recommend this for readers that love the tears, angst, and the hard work needed for the hea.

I received a copy of this from NetGalley.

I’ve followed Cameron on TikTok for a long time and this book was just as joyous as her POV videos. The yearning, the tension, the dialogue… all of it was juicy and fabulous. It’s fun going into a book knowing that it is meant to be gratuitous and will give you what you want. It has the same energy as when Jacob takes off his shirt in the Twilight movies. You know that it is for the female audience to scream, and it works.
