The Single in Seattle series is quickly becoming a must-read, go-to series for me. Every time I pick up one of these books, I swear it’s like coming home and The Score is no exception.
The Score follows the story of Ike and Sophie. Sophie and Ike had the best meet-cute. They literally ran into one another and after that initial meeting, fate kept throwing the two of them together. The sparks between the two of them were instant and once you added in their hilarious banter, I knew I was done for.
What I loved about Ike and Sophie’s story was the ease of everything between them. Ike was a solid guy. He didn’t have the best upbringing and all he wanted to do was play football. Meeting Sophie was a total game-changer for him and completely knocked him off his axis. That brings us to Sophie. Sophie is so full of life and has the biggest heart and support from her family. Together these two just made my heart soar. They balanced one another so perfectly and I couldn’t help but root for these two to get their happily ever after.
In true, Kristen Proby style, The Score is rich in romance and family values, and light on the drama. This story will grab readers from the first page and will make you feel like you’re going right along for the ride with the characters. Before you know it, you’ll find yourself devouring all the words and never wanting it to end. I hope you fall head over heels in love with Ike and Sophie as I have.
All in all another solid read from author Kristen Proby. With each book, I fall more in love with this series and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for us readers next in the Single in Seattle series!

Time and time again, Kristen Proby's books have proved to be the perfect antidote for chaotic and draining moments in my life. They provide a feel-good and safe haven where I can get lost for hours. She doesn't shy away from complex topics but approaches them respectfully and in a way that they are not overwhelming. And I adore her stories because of this.
The Score is the perfect mix of feelings and spice with a sprinkle of drama. Sophie Montgomery has made a name for herself as a nutritionist and social media influencer. She works hard and doesn't rely on her family's name. Ike Harrison is the Seattle football team's quarterback. He is hot and seriously stressed, as his three-year contract is nearing the end and because of his family dynamics.
Ike and Sophie literally collide with each other while going on a run at the park. They are smitten, but what are the odds of going beyond a simple accident? Let's say they will meet again later that day at her uncle's house. And while neither of them might have been looking for a relationship, their chemistry is insane. The on-point banter is hilarious!
I loved every minute of their story, including the plot twist I didn't see coming. Once again, Proby gave the perfect story.

What a wonderful change of pace, thank you Kristen Proby. No trope, just a good old fashion romance where the man asks out a girl. It was perfect and I miss romances like this.
We really get to know each character as they get to know each other. Again nice change from all the tropes, and scheming in romance lately. I liked that we get some of our old favourite characters from past books. It doesn’t feel setup or strange just that they are part of the story.
I need more books like this in my life. Easy to get behind a love story that is just that, a love story.
Fantastic narration as always.

Liked Sophie and Ike's relationship and also enjoyed that there was no third act break up.
Trigger Warnings: toxic parent and spouse abuse

Hot quarterback and a curvy nutritionist makes for a fun and sexy story. Ike is a nice guy but still has the alpha in him that we all love about Kristen's books. Sophie is smart, funny, and keeps him on his toes. I love how they meet, I love the rapid relationship and how the "villain" is someone we have seen before but finally gets what is coming to them.
These 2nd generation books give me all the feels. I love getting to see the family again but seeing it from the perspective of the kids gives it so much more.
The bonus epilogue almost had me in tears! Another great book by Kristen!

My Thoughts: Fun, sexy, sweet, and romantic. All that I hope for when I pick up a Kristen Proby book. The Score is book three in this series and each book is a standalone.
In this book we follow Sophie and Ike as they crash into their relationship and never slow down. From their very first collision the sparks fly. From there it only gets hotter. While Ike is a young athlete living his best life, he stays grounded and does not let his fame go to his head. He knows what he wants and he wants Sophie. Sophie wants him too so that is not a problem for either of them.
This couple is perfect together. There is very little drama, lots of fun and family, and even more flirting. The Score was super fun to read and very quick.

The Montgomerys are back, and I am loving it. THE SCORE, the third book in Kristen Proby's Single in Seattle series, is full of everything that I love about this big, boisterous, talented family, and it was a true pleasure to read.
Kristen Proby continues to write these characters so beautifully, and they are clearly very much a part of her. Sophie Montgomery is completely relatable, and if all pro athletes were like Ike Harrison, we'd all be very very lucky. These two and their story are probably my favorite in the series so far, and that's saying something. Seeing them deal with some of the hard things in life only makes them more real, and that they do it together and so supportively of each other made for a truly heartwarming read.
Catching up with the Montgomery clan at large is one of the best things about these books, and seeing all of the kids grown or almost grown is a hoot. I'm hoping that there are many more books coming our way, because these characters and their lives just never get old. Here's to family, especially the Montgomerys. May we know them for a long time to come. ❤️
