Nick & Harper's story. Nick's best friend Spencer (from Big Rock) and his sister Harper have been friends for years. Nick makes his living drawing cartoons for his TV show "The Adventures of Mr. Orgasm" & Harper is a magician. She's off limits because you don't mess with your best friend's sister. Harper needs help navigating the dating world. She has two men interested in her and is flustered interacting with them. She asks Nick to help her out with dating techniques for one week. Nick is beside himself because he's been crushing on her since last summer (in Big Rock) The two of them enter into an agreement for one week while Spencer is gone on his honeymoon so they won't get caught. The lessons and seduction turn into something more between the two of them and suddenly it's out of control. With the agreement coming to an end will it also end their years long friendship or turn it into something more?

Mister O is short for Mister Orgasm, the cartoon superhero created by MC Nick Hammer for an Adult Swim-like network. It's also kind of how Nick sees himself, as a guy obsessed with giving the woman he's with pleasure. In comes Harper Holiday, Nick's best friend's sister, who he's been flirty with but cautious about (because of the bro code). However, they really like each other, and even though they don't want to admit it, they're also really good together.

I love the characters of Nick and Harper. They're a really great couple, though I would have like to see them talking more (and talking honestly more) because a lot of the conflict in the plot could have been solved if they'd talked honestly and shared their feelings ahead of time. Still, they're great characters, and I love their interactions. They really make a great couple, despite their difficulty communicating.

I think this author is just not for me. I love the idea of her characters and plot but not the execution. I've read one other book by her, and I felt exactly the same way. On the surface her characters have potential, but I hate them when reading the story. They are extremely unrealistic and dreadfully boring! Even the steamy parts were boring! I have no idea how her books are so popular with such horrible written characters!

This was cute. I thought that the main dude's obsessive fantasies about sex would grate on me, but he toned it down midway through the book. I liked reading this from a guy's perspective, though it read very much as wish fulfillment from a female perspective. Oh well, still fun!

Nick is adorable. This is a friends to lovers romance. In Big Rock we met Spencer and Charlotte. This book concentrates on Nick, Spencer's best friend and Harper, Spencer's little sister. She's been off limits but suddenly tables are turned, the heat is ramping up, clothes are dropping off and magic, quite literally, is happening. Harper needs to learn a trick or two about Men, dating and sex. Who better to teach her than Nick?. Harper isn't his type anyway because he has always gone for older women. She's three years younger. She's off limits. But pretty soon they are equally smitten and the fun really begins.
These two are gorgeous together. Both passionate, loyal and funny. No triggers here - just lots of sexy fun. Really lovely read with low angst and hugely likeable characters.

4,5 Orgasmic Stars!!

Wow!! Is it HOT in here or what??

Fantastic light read about forbidden love to his best friend's sister. And  since it was a book told from the point of view of a guy (which was a cool change from most of the books that I have read) you will find here a lot of sex for sure ;)

Oh what I would not give to meet a guy like Nick. Smart handsome tattooed monogamous, who loves sex and at the same time not forgetting that he is't alone in the bedroom.

"Giving a women a sheet-grabbing, toe-curling, mind-blowing orgasm is pretty much the Best Thing Ever."

Thing that makes me  wonder after reading this book is:

Do men so often fantasize about women?

I do not know .. Probably yes?

Maybe we will never know but it is good to read such a book once in a while. Brings some answers to the question: What is he thinking right now?

So, tkank you Lauren Blakely :)

Spencer has made one thing VERY clear to Nick, touch his sister and he will sneak into his house in the middle of the night, shave his head, and dye his eyebrows orange. The problem, Nick hasn’t been able to get Spencer’s sister Harper out of his mind. Ever since Harper and Nick teamed up to get revenge on Spencer, Nick can’t stop fantasizing about his best friend’s little sister. To make matters worse, Harper confides in Nick that she doesn’t have the first clue about dating, let along talking to men, and needs Nick to be her dating coach. As Nick does his best to help Harper decode the signs and signals of men while keeping his own desires in check, Harper decides she needs Nick’s help in one more area. So the question is, what happens when the woman of your fantasies starts to make your wildest dreams a reality?

For those who aren’t familiar with Lauren Blakely, Mister O is a continuation of Big Rock series. In Big Rock, Lauren gives the readers a hint about Harper’s attraction towards Nick. With Mister O, we get to watch a long term casual acquaintance start to flourish into a true friendship. Yes, the storyline is very predictable; however, it is still a funny and heartwarming read. I will say this though, this book is HOT. I mean Dear Penthouse has nothing on what goes down between Nick and Harper. Although Lauren’s previous book had a storyline that brought the characters together outside of the bedroom, this story revolves around the real life adventures of Mister O, which means you will spend more time behind closed doors than anywhere else. I did enjoy the ending as I am all about a good comeuppance in the denouement.

For fans of Alice Clayton and Emma Chase, if you are looking for a book that will get you hot under the collar while putting a smile on your face and an “awww” in your heart, check it out (but read Big Rock first)!

Mister O is a great second book in the Big Rock series, and like I mentioned in my review of Big Rock, these were light, fun reads.

I did start the series overall for the easy nature and fake engagement trope of Book #1, but I got just invested enough (specifically in Nick) to want to continue on with the series. I really didn't care for Harper in either book, so it was Nick that made this story for me. There were a lot of steamy moments (I think more than were in Big Rock), as well as some really sweet ones. The texting and dialogue were definitely memorable, but sadly I really couldn't tell you much else of what happened!

Like I'll probably say in each review I write for this series, I didn't love it or hate it (I can definitely see why others would love it though), but it's what I needed to break the heavier/more serious reading streak I had been on!

Super cute. I liked Nick and Harper way better then Charlotte and Spencer. On to the next!

3.5 ⭐

This was probably the first time I've read a romance book that only has the hero's pov and I liked it, it was fun and cute!
