My sweet bb Ronan finally got his book!! I love this series so much - it has almost no plot (although this one had a little more going on than the original series) but the characters are great and the spice is hot, so who cares? I just need Ronan to get his HEA since Abbi is off the market.
The audiobook narration by Alex Kydd and Veronica Fox was good. I do kind of wish they’d gotten separate female narrators for Ryan’s chapters and Sloane’s chapters, but it wasn’t a huge deal since it was clearly separated as part 1 and part 2 of the book. Alex still has a way of making a laugh/scoff sound too often when it’s not warranted, but it’s definitely toned down compared to some of his other books so it didn’t irk me too much. Overall good performances and I’ll keep reading the series with these two narrating.

A great start to a new series! I really loved Ronan when I read the Wolf Hotel series! I was so excited when I found out this was his book! Let me first say this you don’t necessarily need to read the Wolf Hotel series to enjoy this book but I would highly recommend it. There are dynamics that you won’t know about if you don’t. I was hooked immediately! I got the audio of this one so I wouldn’t have to put this down! The narrators did such a great job bringing all the characters to life! This was my first summery read of the season and it made me want to find a place like mermaid beach and relax! Dare I say that this book seemed a bit tame compared to the last series! There was still a good amount of spice for the spice lovers! This one will leave you in a cliffhanger, eager for the next book to come out!! So if you’re in the mood for a bad boy/good girl, secret hookup, business rivals, close proximity, forbidden romance look no further!!
This read a bit like a prequel to me but I dug it. It’s been a few years since I had read the Wolf Hotel Series, but I always had a soft spot for Ronan. He has that easy going up for anything vibe, but still comes off as someone who has some emotional depth.
And after that cliff he will need it…
We don’t get a ton of Abbi here but I already love her and how feisty she is. Can’t wait to see what’s next.
- 🏨 If you loved the Wolf Hotel Series this will be a hit.
- 🐺 Henry still being Henry the alpha-a-hole is a treat.
- 🌴 Love the coastal vibes.
- 🧜🏻♀️ Abbi and Gigi = instant favourite. I love a sassy grandma.
Thank You to ValentinePR and the author K.A. Tucker for the advanced reading copy, all my opinions are my own.

3.5 ⭐️ This is my intro into KA Tucker and I’m in! I do wish I read the wolf series first. I mean you don’t technically have to, she does a good job of catching you up.. but you can tell there’s a ton of backstory there, especially with the whole “before abbi, after abbi” thing.
The first part is Ronan and Ryan, Connor’s half sister. I’m actually not entirely sure why almost half the book was dedicated to this time but maybe it’ll all make sense soon.
The second half (after Abbi) is Ronan and Sloane. I cannot wait until book 2 to see what happens!!!! I meannnnn I loved the book but hate waiting on a cliff hanger 😬
I’ll definitely be reading more of KAs books!

Ronan’s story starts before he meets Abbi, with his recent move to the Miami Wolf Hotel. There, he begins to move on from his ex with the help of his friend, Connor. When jobs open up at the Alaskan Wolf Hotel, the two transfer there and meet Abbi and Henry- the owner of the hotels. Release Me then shifts to after the events of the Wolf Hotel series, and Ronan’s story starts in the present. Henry offers Ronan a new position to be a director of his hotel in Mermaid Beach. While he is there, he meets Sloane, who has property neighboring the hotel. She has been in opposition of it and the changes it will bring for years. Despite being on different sides, Sloane and Ronan are attracted to each other and act on it, but what about the girls of Ronan’s past and the potential changes of her land because of the hotel? Ronan is ready to leave behind his summer camp days, but the drama still follows him. It was so nice to see Ronan’s growth and determination in the first work meeting over hires; I just hope it continues, but it seems like it’s going to be questioned with the return from his past. While you don’t have to have read the original Wolf Hotel series about Abbi and Henry, I would recommend it because you get to see more background on Connor, Belinda, and more importantly, Ronan. Like KA Tucker is known to do, the first book of this series does end on a cliffhanger, and it is most definitely filled with drama (just like Wolf Hotel).
This book brought me right back into The Wolf Hotel world, and I’m not mad about it!! I see a series reread in my future!
Release Me is broken up into 2 parts: Before Abbi and After Abbi. It’s definitely helpful to read the original series before coming to this story!
I loved getting to see Ronan again! He’s different after Abbi, more mature for what he’s been through. I love the way he threw himself into his new position and wants to do a good job. His chemistry with Sloane was great, and I can’t wait to see what happens next!!
Expect:
🌴 Forbidden romance
🍹 Business Rivals
🌴 Good girl/Bad boy
🍹 Secret Hookups
🌴 Cliffhanger
This one is available now!! August (and Book 2) can’t come soon enough!

Preface: I did not read The Wolf Hotel Series, so perhaps, if I had, I would have had different feelings.
Release Me is in 2 parts. The first part gives you some history on Ronan and introduces you to some other side characters. Which is fine, but it feels a little disjointed from the second part of the book, seeing that there are ~ 2 years in between and a full series.
Pros of the book: I like Ronan; he is a flawed protagonist, but you don't leave hating him. Sloane, she is my girl. This could be me not being familiar with the Wolf Hotel Series, but I can't wait to read the next book in the series, because I want Sloane to destroy the Wolf Hotel- read the book to know why. I am team Sloane 100%. I don't know where this series is going, but Release Me sets the groundwork for me to want to know more.
