Jaw on floor, this book was the emotional packed romance I needed! Wow is all I can say. Truly Maren outdid herself on this one. The characters were so heartfelt and raw I felt like I was right there with them. I loved seeing them navigate their situations and the growth they had throughout, I seriously sounded like a sports fan cheering and hissing. I think I highlighted 1/3 of this books because the banter, sass, tension and chemistry was next level. If you havenβt read a Maren Moore book yet, do yourself a favor and grab this one! Just check TW.

Lennon may be the golden girl but sheβs realizing sheβs also in a golden cage being the perfect daughter to her parents. That changes this year, her rose colored glasses are off and she will live life for herself moving forward. Thatβs why she booked time at the collegeβs rink to get back on the ice and do what brings her joy, figure skating. But when she gets there a giant dick in the form of a hockey player is on her ice. His name is Saint but he should just be called Satan in her opinion.
Saint is the biggest player around he doesnβt care, he embraces his bad boy image and keeps everyone at bay. His home life is in shambles but he doesnβt show it, heβs just surviving till he can make it to the NHL. So when the daughter of his enemy walks onto his ice he is pleasantly surprised, now the fun will begin. But what starts as fake dating and alternative motives quickly escalates into so much more!

This was an okay read for me. YA is always a toss up for me, and these 2 did come across pretty immature in the beginning. I felt like they did get better as the story went on. It took me a while to get into the story, but I was happy that I stuck it out. Saint was a complete A hole, and he had a lot of issues. (There is DV on page, so be aware if that's a trigger for you.) Lennon was trying to get away from her parents control, and I was proud of her for standing up for herself and for Saint. There is a lot of spicy times in this one, it almost felt like too much, and that's hard for me to say lol I would have liked more story between the MCs. The ending felt a little rushed to me, all the stuff with Lennon's dad happened like within hours in one day, and it just felt a little unbelievable. All in all, I thought this was a decent read, and although this was the first for me from this author, I will be reading her again.

Review: Maren is always a 5star read and πππ πΉππ πΉπ πͺ βπ¦ππ was no exception! Lennon and Saint were fire from the start. The tension, the angst, the banter and the way they HATED each other was like crack. I was hooked from the first time Lennon lockβs eyes with him across the ice and did not stop reading until the words βTen Endβ hit my eyes! These two could not be more opposite but it just works for how their unorthodox story evolves and I truly loved how Lennon began to open her eyes and see the truth about her family and how Saint carried so much weight on his shoulders for wrongs her father had hid.
πππ πΉππ πΉπ πͺ βπ¦ππ is a must read if you enjoy a true enemies to lovers hockey romance that is full of ALL the vibes-from possessive alpha males, to swoon and soft (but only for her!). Maren once again stunned me silent with how much I adored the story these two shared and I only know-I cannot wait for more!
Rating: 5/5; Maren brings us back to our favorite place-enemies to lovers hockey romance and Saint & Lennon devastated me with the enemies to lovers vibes and hate to love you angst in πππ πΉππ πΉπ πͺ βπ¦ππ!
Thank you Maren for the eARC!
I loved everything about this book! I loved the bad boy who wasnβt ashamed of it & I loved the good βGolden Girlβ who practically lived her life to appease others.
The banter between Lennon & Saint was so perfectly written and lead to a perfect romance. I loved watching their friendship blossom as they both found trust in the other.
Saint & Lennon are the ultimate βyou never know what someone else is going throughβ situation & their meeting was completely kismet.

This was my first Maren Moore read and I was very impressed with how much I enjoyed it. The banter and tension between Saint and Lennon had me sweating and giggling all at the same time! I also really enjoyed how emotional this book was and how much depth was put into both of these characters. It made them feel real and gave their stories that little extra push.
With this being said, I felt like Saintβs reasoning for getting into this fake relationship was overdone. For the first half of the book, anytime we were in Saintβs POV, he basically retold and emphasized his intentions and at some point I was annoyed because Iβve heard this spiel 12 other times and I donβt need the refresher anymore!! However, once the turning point hit, I was no longer annoyed and fell harder into the book and was so happy to see healthy communication and understanding.
Overall, I really enjoyed this read and would recommend to anyone who likes sports romance, bad boy x good girl, fake dating reads!!

This was a fun, spicy Romance. Both characters have been through a lot and Saint is so strong and hard working. his family life brought me to tears. The back and forth between the two main characters was funny and steamy. I fell in love with them right away. I will be adding Saint to my list of favorite book boyfriends π€π
