Amen… J’ai enfin fini cette saga ! Après l’avoir traîné dans ma tbr pendant des mois, je peux enfin dire que j’en ai fini avec cette trilogie. En vrai de vrai, ce troisième tome était tout de même meilleur que le précédent.
L’intrigue en elle-même n’est pas très riche, avec certains elements répétitifs avec les tomes d’avant. Je n’ai pas la sensation qu’on ait énormément avancé entre la première et la dernière ligne de cette saga… mais certains points font plaisir tout de même.
L’ambiance du roman est assez plaisante, avec cette atmosphère très witchy, personnellement j’adore. Il y a aussi quelques traces d’humour appréciables quand les personnages font face à des enjeux bien plus lourds ! La romance subit encore de nombreux obstacles, dont certains qu’on a déjà vu en quelque sorte, mais allez on va dire que ça met un peu de piment.
Dans l’ensemble, ça reste un tome cohérent qui conclut le tout de façon logique. Bref, un soulagement d’avoir fini la saga mais également une satisfaction de ne pas avoir subi ce tome comme le précédent !

Oczywiście pierwsza część jest najlepsza ale ta zdecydowanie jej dorównuje. Na scenie z Anselm po prostu ryczałam. Na szczęście skończyło się cudownie.
This book was the best in the series. It wasn't boring and the ending was just right. Sometimes the book could feel really long but it had the right action in it

Gods and Monsters was relatively engaging but wasn’t gripping. It was easy to follow, even with the accents of the narrators. While I wasn’t enthralled with the story, it was easy to listen to and I’m glad I finished it. While I listened to these, I think I’d like to physically read them again to get what I missed and not have the challenges of the accents. I am very excited, though, to read Célie’s story in The Scarlet Veil- I love a good vampire romance!

I cried more than I expected.
After waiting to start this book (because i was upset at the ending of the second one), I am glad I finally did it. This was a beautiful way to finish out the series, and I have literally no notes.
I will no doubt be reading the other two books set in this world.

I absolutely loved the Scarlet Veil and I'm just gutted I could not finish S&D series. I didn't like any of the characters and the plot was just so boring. Nothing kept my attention at all.
Would recommend people read Scarlet Veil though! It's a continuation of S&D but you don't really need to read it to understand what's going on.
