More like 2.5 stars, but I'll round up. It started out so well. It was heartbreaking to see her feel the loss of her alphas and son in real time. It almost broke me, along with a part at the end where she talks about there not being a word for those who lose their children.

With that said, I really didn't like some parts of this story. For one thing, it's like she's the only one suffering. We never get to the issues anyone else is having because we're so focused on her and what she may or may not be feeling. This included hard times like when she accepted her new pack and then panicked. Their best friend then goes into labor, and because she's panicking, she won't let her pack come with her to the hospital. But in this pack is one beta who is also best friends with the girl in labor, and also the brother of one of the girl's alphas (se he's not able to be there for support at the birth of his niece). And then we find out Bastian's deal, and how he's the brother of the guy who crashed into her first pack and killed them, and she thinks for a moment that her beta also lost a brother that day (which is annoyingly 3/4 of the way through the book and the first time we've found this out) and then she never asks him how he's dealing with that information because she's only focused on what she needs to do to get through it.

Also, prior to all of this, these people are together maybe two or three times on page before they're all completely devoted to each other and begin saying they love each other and want to be a pack. I can understand her love for the childhood friend, but not the others. None of their relationship was deep enough for that yet. It wasn't shown on page for us to see.

Lastly, having the pads of their thumbs bein where her alpha bites them while they're holding hands is hands down (no pun intended) the worst spot for a mate mark I've come across in all the OMV books I've read lol.

Anyway, I really wanted to like this one. It started out so well, and the tragic storyline of love after losing mates and a child was compelling. I just don't think it hit the mark for me.

I liked this a lot more than I thought would. it has been a long time since I have read a book with a pack/wolf theme. Arden is recovering from the huge loss of her pack and son. she is trying to find joy in life again
she finds Cohen, Locke, and Bastian are the packs she finds. They each have their issues. Locke has been in love with Arden for years. Cohen is reluctant to be a part of a pack - he has fears. And Bastian has a secret he hopes no one finds out about.

The drama, the cute interactions, and the spicy scene are what I am living for. This is a good book to read between heavier books.

I would say I was a little confused about some of the details of the pack and such - there needed to be a bit of explanation for us newbies but still good

I knew I’d love Arden’s book and the wait was more than worth it. This was a different kind of omegaverse for me and honestly made me emotional. I really felt the grief Arden was feeling and coming to terms with and her story was amazing.

This group was perfection. They understood Arden and her past and love her fiercely. They all fit so well together and pretty quickly too which I loved, they just had some kinks to work out. This second chance HEA gave me all the feels and made my heart pretty happy.

This book and series is oh so good. I’m so excited for the next book because I know they’re going to keep us on our toes!

Not bad but pretty expectable. I like the characters but the development did not satisfy.

Knot a Chance is a emotional journey you will want to go on. Arden is still dealing with the grief of losing her family. While she trying to move on her best friend Locke a beta is there with her. He has loved her for a long time. And then there the 2 alpha Cohen and Bastian who will tear your heart with their past. But even though they are hesitant at first, things change quickly after they help her through her heat. Locke and Cohen fall in love with her after that and take care of her. But Bastian past keeps him from take the final steps until he works past the guilt he carries. Their journey will tear your heart out at times but it definitely worth the tears. Because the ending is perfect for them.

Real Rating: 3.5 / 5 Stars

When I reviewed the first book in this series I made sure to put a disclaimer at the beginning of my review stating how and why I review spicy romance novels like this differently than I review other novels. I think I’ll post it again here, because I know I post a lot more reviews of “mainstream” novels now, but I bet most of my followers don’t know I read way more spicy romance novels released by independent authors than I do wide-release novels. I just don’t review them much unless I am specifically reviewing them for release.

So here’s the disclaimer: I don’t read books like “Knot a Chance” because it’s the most intellectually stimulating books in the world. As much as I’d like to deny it, I view my romance, erotica, and otherwise “spicy” books through a different lens than I do other novels; therefore, the way I rate them is going to reflect that. I need you to keep that in mind when you read my reviews, especially for a book like this, which is an omegaverse-based paranormal romance (AKA PNR). Simply put, I read omegaverse books sheerly because they’re fun, escapist, and hot. That’s it. If you want to judge me for that, then okay.

I have been waiting for this book since I read the previous book in the series earlier this year, but I didn’t end up enjoying it as much as I’d hoped. While it’s still a solid entry by Sinclair Kelly, it just didn’t hit all the same sweet spots for me that “I Think Knot” did. This may be due to the main theme of grief being rather heavy for my tastes, as well as my own neurotypical issues surrounding understanding and dealing with grief (that’s a long story not suited for a book review). The first book was fast burn, funny, and spicy. This book is a slower burn, not quite as funny, not quite as spicy, has fewer spicy scenes, and deals with a lot more psychological issues. So, even though it was enjoyable to read, it just wasn’t what I usually look for when I read an omegaverse novel.

I did enjoy the characters a great deal, and the cameos from characters from the first book were always a welcome addition. I like the set-up that was folded gently in for the next book in the series and will post my review for that when the time comes later this year.

Knot a Chance is book two in this sweet contemporary omega series that really packs an emotional punch. Through the emotional moments this book is a fun, steamy romance which starts with the main character Arden focusing on no-commitment fun and concludes with her gaining her second chance at her happily ever after.

The prologue to this book crushed me as I rode Arden’s emotions as she lost her pack and her son to a car accident. She shuts down emotionally in order to cope with the indescribable pain this loss caused her. A few years later Arden is now opening up to the idea of relationships with the help of her friend Bexley, from book 1, but is still scared of being hurt. Locke is her childhood friend and watched as she loved and lost the first time and refuses to watch on the sidelines again. I loved this beta’s unrequited love story line and how he got his happily ever after with Arden. Cohen and Bastian, the alpha detective pair were great characters and I loved their individual backstories too.

Knot a Chance is a sweet, steamy omegaverse filled with emotion and suspense. We got a lot of teasers for the next book featuring Reese, the final member of TheOmegasGuide group and I cannot wait to see what the final make up is of the pack he settles down with and how they reach their happily ever after.

This book was so good. It was inspiring the way that arden truly tackled her demons and let herself heal and experience the feelings she needed to experience. This was a complete 180 feeling wise from *i think knot* but in such a good way! I loved the characters and how sinclair was able to truly evoke every emotion in this reading experience but also not make me want to throw the book down and not finish! Thank you for an epic read!
