Nick finally agrees to go home for Christmas to see his distance family, but only after his best friend, Jackson commits to being his fake partner.
Even though Jackson questions if they will be able to be convincing, he knows that he will be able to fool Nick's family as his feelings are not as fake as the relationship maybe.
This was a classic Jay Northcote book with the lovely writing that he puts into all his books. I liked that the relationship building between Nick and his father took work and it was not an instant repair or going back to the pervious relationship they had. It take time, communication and down right hard work. Although, I wished that the heat between Nick and Jackson was hotter and higher. It was overall a nice enjoyable holiday read.

Any book that has me smiling by the end is a good book!
Operation Fake Realtionship is your standard fake holiday boyfriend romance. It has all the things you want and expect in a holiday romance between two men pretending to be more than friends.
Secret infatuation, loads of pining, forced proximity, all the little adorable kissing with some holiday cheer and decoration thrown in for good measure before finally the moment of realization and truth.
Jackons and Nick were total sweethearts and I enjoyed reading as Nick slowly come to the realization that he wanted a real relationship with Jackson. Jackson was a great friend and an over all sweetheart. It was obvious how much he cared for Nick even before he realized he loved him.
For all the holiday feels and warm love fuzziness I definitely recommend Operation Fake Relationship.

Operation Fake Relationship is another great festive story from Jay Northcote.
Best friends, Nick and Jackson, play at being fake boyfriends as Nick travels back to his parents home for Christmas for his first visit in several years. Issues with his family mean that Jasckon's support is really important but neither expect things to turn physical or to bring true feelings into the mix.
Jackson has been crushing for quite a while but getting to be so close to Nick is hard for him but he's just happy to be able to help his best friend with something he knows will be especially hard. He's definitely a good influence on Nick as well as he provides a different perspective to things that are happening/being said. Nick clearly has some things that he's still dealing with when it comes to family, though mostly his father. Having Jackson there means the world to him and it actually shows him in a different light as they act the roles of boyfriends with hand holding and kisses beneath the mistletoe. I liked how things evolved for the MC's and their relationship but also how everything unfolds between Nick and his family. With them being apart for so long, people can change but it definitely takes work from both sides to be able to move forward.
I love reading Jay's stories as they truly give an English Christmas experience and the setting is beautiful and wonderfully descriptive. Definitely a recommended read for me.
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.
