I absolutely loved every page of this. I started sobbing and had to put the book down when

Nick sent his book to the family he befriended in Amsterdam

. These characters feel like real people; fully fleshed-out, flawed, but so loveable. I found myself thinking about Nick and Lily when I was doing other things and not actively reading the book. Kristina Forest, you're a romance novel wizard. I already bought the rest of the series and I am SO excited to read them.

This was a cute book, but kind of boring?

I enjoyed it, but I also feel like it was very surface-level. I loved the beginning of the book with the emails, but it never reached that level again when that stopped.

I liked the characters and the plot with the book industry, but I wasn’t ever fully invested or hooked.
