Okay I feel like this is an something everyone needs to know going into this.
For about half the book, the main character is portrayed to be SIXTEEN. While the guys may look like they are teenagers as well, they have all lived for a much longer time (an Edward/Bella type thing). Also, even though they don’t have sex with her when they believe she’s SIXTEEN, they do kiss her and dry hump her. Apparently 16 is the age of consent in their minds because they were born in like the 1700s. This made me feel so uncomfortable so I just changed her to 18 in my mind.
Around the 60% mark, you find out she is older then they first thought and is actually 18/19.
Just a Heads Up.

Interesting!
This is a different take on shifters, which is refreshing. The plot is really interesting, and I'm fascinated by the way the story is shaping up.
There are grammatical errors and missing words. I'm pretty sure this is an Indie author, and possibly a their first book.
Just remember fiction is subjective and you should read it for yourself to form an opinion.

Interesting plot, but the main character is so weirdly inconsistent. She's so extremely ignorant, but supposedly self taught all highschool subjects by age 12 and has eidetic memory. She is supposedly street smart and survived on her own her whole life, but takes a torn teddy bear to a doctor for surgery. Her friend used to take her to cafes for lunch, but now she suddenly had no idea how to use silverware. She doesn't know what a Ferris wheel is, but she knows what rivets are. She thinks chrome is glass. I'm just so very, very confused.
Oh and the way a southern, country accent is portrayed is so weird lol.
I'm actually gonna pick up the second one because I'm hoping the author improved. I'd guess this was the authors first book and am interested to see if the next one is executed better.

I really wish her name wasn’t Kitten
Where do I begin.
I listen to this book on hoopla.
The main female character is young and naive and the way it was written made it hard to listen to at times.
The plot of the book intrigued me and I stayed up until 8am to listen to the whole book.
There were times I would get misty eyed, bust out laughing or even blush.
I love when books give you all the feelings.
It doesn’t hurt that 8 sexy werewolves are in it ♥️
On to the next book!

Couldn't figure out why they just didn't put the MC in a high chair and feed her with a spoon. Sooo...
Sometimes people will comment and say a book is annoying because of the main character. Kitten is the type of character they're talking about. How she managed to get eight guys wrapped around her is ridiculous. I understand that she grew up on the streets so some of her social skills may be delayed or different from the norm. But I swear she's so frustrating. Her overly 'cute' personality is irritating. I get it she's meant to be some beautiful lost soul they save? Too bad it doesn't work for me.
This book also dragged on and on.

Garbage and not enough spice to make up for it. The use of “my girl” and “my guy(s)” was to a disgustingly high level. I got such weird vibes she’s described as young as 16, but maybe as old as 20 at some points. There is a male narrator who is used very sparingly for no apparent reason.
I am not sure how I feel about this book. First of all, it was interesting and compelling enough that I finished it and plan to continue the series. That alone bumps this from a 2 star to a 3 star book. The world building is decent and I like where the plot is moving. I thought I figured out the twist but it seems like I haven't got all the pieces right so that is promising! I hate when I figure things out too easily.
What I didn't like about this book:
- the FMC is just way too immature. It fits her character type but her innocence and immaturity makes this book feel icky. She resembles a small child in many of the ways she talks and acts. And for grown wolves that are centuries old to fall in love with a character that is child-like - ewww. And to top it all off - her name is Kitten. Like her actual name. I don't know why I think that name is ok as a nickname in other books but as a real name in this book -- I loathe it.
- WAY TOO MANY GUYS. 8 wolves are in an existing family when she arrives. And they just agree that they are going to share her. I knew there would be 8 guys going in, so I was ready to take notes and try to keep them all separate but I still find myself very confused on who is who. Without looking at my notes this is what I remember about the guys:
Remy: the leader and oldest
Tristan: the cook
Logan: the fashion guy who helps her with clothes and her hair
Reed: the artist
Ash: the gentle giant
Finn: the bookworm
Kellan: the doctor
Jace: the asshole that didn't like her at first
I have surprised myself that I remember this much about the guys. After almost 12 hours of listening to this book - I feel like I should know more about each guy. I still confuse them while listening.
This book is also relatively clean without any sex. There are a few scenes that start to get steamy, but I'm glad the author didn't take it far due to her innocent nature and the fact we are not sure of her age. She had counted 16 summers so far but can't remember when she started counting summers. Most kids don't have memories until ages 3/4 so I'm guessing she is 19/20 years old but she has a great memory so maybe she is in the 17-18 range.
I am left with a lot of questions and that crazy cliffhanger so I will be continuing. The only hope this series has is it turning into a fated mate storyline because that is the only way I accept an "instalove" trope. I just can't comprehend why they all love her so far. Its too much.
