Was really hoping I would love this one, especially after reading Drive which was outstanding. Sadly for me this was just okay. Hilary was just dam right annoying at times, I just didn’t get her, I can’t believe she didn’t look into her husbands ADHD symptoms and get some insight into his diagnosis so they could communicate with each other, instead of her screaming and shouting at him, she just frustrated me I’m afraid. Started to pick up for me a little bit toward the end.

3.5 stars. This is a story about a man with ADHD. And his struggles and stories of how he dealt with it while falling in love. The story though is told by the woman's POV. As I mentioned before, this is a sweet and exhausting story. Very real and thought provoking. I gave this the extra half star because it quoted my favorite Beatles song, which doesn't get quoted often: Golden Slumbers.

I confess that I had a misconception about adult ADHD. I assumed it was just a milder and more manageable version of childhood ADHD—essentially difficulty focusing and restlessness. Based on the book description, I couldn’t imagine how the author was going to stretch these relatively benign symptoms into a conflict worthy of a full-length novel.

I’ve been personally affected by bipolar and anxiety mood disorders, so my radar went off when Jayden started displaying familiar behavior that seemed to have nothing to do with ADHD. Of course, I immediately Googled, “Adult ADHD symptoms.” What I found was enlightening, and it made me question why Hilary didn’t do her own Internet search sooner. I suppose sometimes we are so blinded by love that logic fails us, and we don’t heed the warning signs.

I’m grateful this book sheds light on the disorder, while handling it with great sensitivity. Loving the White Liar is a beautiful love story of hope, determination, and faithfulness.

I’m really apprehensive to pin stars on this book. Not because the book doesn’t deserve them. Believe me it does. Not because of the writing style. Because it is very well written. But because of the meaning and topic of the book. 5 Stars although that isn't enough

I downloaded a sample of the book and liked it but I wasn’t entirely too sure so I read a GR friend review (Allison you are on to a winner with this one raved about it) How could I say no?
So this book is beautifully written, funny, and sweet and touching it touches and delves into a topic which is hard for us without ADHD to deal with and to understand. I appreciate that my eyes have been opened to this topic and there were times were I wanted to rant at Jay and love him and the same with Hilary.
You can tell that this is close to the author’s heart and I most certainly recommend it.

On a more fun note, Hilary knew that they were going to get married and then she would be H.A.M
Hilary Amanda Monroe and then we have J.A.M Jayden Albert Monroe. HAM and JAM sorry ;-( but that made me laugh out loud.

Let me start by saying that I love Kate Stewarts' books. Love them. But Loving the White Liar...was not for me. Don't get me wrong. It is a good read. But it just wasn't what I had hoped it would be, or maybe wanted it to be...?
