A stinker, in my opinion. Let’s just say that I might be “excessively sensitive” to stories about an annoyingly persistent antagonist finally convincing the protagonist that he/she actually does want to be friends simply through always being in their face and never giving up.

Absolutely delightful. I will have to read the other Snappsy books now!

The funny-unreliable narrator (funreliable narrator?) feature so beloved in the first book continues here, where the narrator's voice is a clingy and enthusiastic chicken, who is determined to make Snappsy realize that he is his BEST FRIEND. Though their tastes and personalities clash, Snappsy ultimately realizes on his own, in a quiet break from both the chicken and narrator, that he does want a friend - while still setting boundaries.

Snappsy, or possibly his best friend/narrator, may very well be my favorite story book character of all time.

Cute, but not as funny as I hoped it would be. Definitely would have been more fun to read with a silly toddler.

I was disappointed with this one, especially since I enjoyed the first one so much. Instead of the page text and the actions not matching up, this time it's another character's words that spin a different story. That just didn't elicit the humor for me. I was bored and mostly didn't enjoy the negativity between the two characters. The turn around was nice, but too little too late.

Snappsy the turtle is a bit of a curmudgeon. He has gained a new best friend, but all he wants is to be left alone. But once the presence of his best friend is gone, Snappsy will realize how much he misses it. A great fun book. I love how the illustrations up the comedy factor.
