CLIFFHANGER ENDING

Literally nothing was resolved during this whole story. It ended with a huge cliffhanger and according to the description, the next book ends in a cliffhanger too.
Based off of reviews of the last story, it seems like this isn’t a trilogy, but a book split into three parts to make you pay more.
As I always say, good authors do not have to end their stories in a cliffhanger to get readers to buy the sequel.

A wonderfully witty and addicting start of a series! Fave quotes below:

“What do you trust?”
“Peer-reviewed publications,”

“Exactly.’ How else was I supposed to determine whether or not sex with a partner was necessary? The scientific method existed for a reason.”

“No. I just don’t believe romantic relationships are necessary.”

On man I knew I should have waited....

Penny gives good book. I was trying to wait until all three books were out but I got an itchy e-reader finger. Which happens when your favorite author releases a new book.
So Mona is weird (in the best ways) and has a good heart. She wants to help her sister out of a tricky situation. Abram is helping out a friend by house sitting. Mona just needs to get through a few days of flying under the radar while in a house with a super attractive Abram who thinks Mona is her sister Lisa. Things shouldn't get too complicated, right? Way wrong. I knew this book was going to end in a cliffhanger, but I was still shocked at the ending. So be prepared people, you will be grumpy but love it when you finish this book.
There is a moment in a bookstore that felt like it was a shout-out to the Sharks of Awesome. Are you part of the Facebook group? Come join us if you aren't.
I can't wait for books 2 and 3 in this series. I highly recommend this read as well as all of Penny's books.

It is absolutely no secret that Penny Reid has her own brand of romance and I am in love with all of her works – they are fun, unique and end up being those romance that tend to become a learning experience in itself.

Motion; the first in Law of Physics Trilogy starts off with a twin swap – where the spoilt, flight twin, Lisa begs her twin, the prodigy, Mona to take her place when she gets into trouble, mostly to protect her inheritance. Identical in looks, they couldn’t be different from each other, if they actually, consciously tried. Yet loyalty forces Mona to help her twin out, even if she is exasperated with Lisa most of the times.

However, there is an unknown entity in the equation – Abram, their elder brother Leo’s best friend; and the guardian appointed to Lisa in the absence of their parents – shouldn’t be that hard to fool him, he hasn’t even met Mona and only met Lisa fleetingly.

But as the days of deception goes by, things start to happen – Mona an intellectual starts to develop feelings for the man who doesn’t like being lied to – and Abram finds himself being intrigued by a girl who he considered to be flighty and spoilt but is anything but!

Like all Penny’s books, Motion is also sprinkled with the uniqueness that has Ms. Reid’s stamp – and for a non – science major like me, is still entertaining without making me feel like a chump.

I have also realized that when author warns that cliffhanger would be painful – it ACTUALLY IS PAINFUL. I am hoping so many things from the rest of the two books in this trilogy; but I am also hoping that we get an insight into Abram’s thought process at least once (okay I want more, but I will make peace with once!) throughout the trilogy!

Penny Reid has a magical way of creating characters with flaws and depth and dealing with serious real life issues but keeping it funny and relatable. Motion is no exception. The whirlwind romance of Mona and Abram is intense from the get go and doesn't lose steam. Eagerly awaiting the rest of the series!!

Penny Reid is back in her wheelhouse once again in all her geeky glory with Motion, the first book in the Laws of Physics series. This brilliantly written ‘smart romance’ features an insanely gifted yet quirky heroine, an adorably responsible musician named Abram, and metric tons of slow-burning yet piping hot chemistry—my absolute favorite!

Mona may be a prodigy in scientific circles, but she’s introverted, socially inept, and out of her element in the real world. When her twin sister gets into legal trouble, she needs Mona to cover for her or she will be cut off from her family’s fortune. Impersonating her sister, who couldn’t be further apart from Mona on the personality spectrum, may be the toughest task she has ever undertaken.

Abram, who is Marie’s brother from [b:Dating-ish|34454739|Dating-ish (Knitting in the City, #6)|Penny Reid|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1488553398s/34454739.jpg|50705784], has been tasked with babysitting Mona (well, her sister actually). He’s had a bad experience with Mona’s twin in the past, so Abram is not looking forward to the job. What he doesn’t expect is how different she is from before, so the chemistry between them is unexpected (and so stinking cute, I might add).

There is so much going on it this book from the famous absentee parents, Doogie Howser-level genius, twin sister swapping, opposites attract, brother’s best friend, to the brilliant musician hero—BUT, you know what? It totally works! I was drawn into the story from the start and I couldn’t put it down until I got to the end. And what an ending it was, too. Total.cliffhanger. Thankfully, we don’t have too long to wait for the second book (and the next cliffhanger)!
