This series was an emotional rollercoaster from the start, Biana really suffered a lo!
I'll have a better review up later tonight with possibly a few gifs, because what is a book review without gifs??
All I can say for now is that I loved this so very much and I can't wait to read about my main man Balty❤

Last one of the series, it was pretty good but fell flat towards the end. I still don’t know if this is a full HEA or know given Bianca is technically dead so props to the author for that because it kinda of is but they are obviously going to have their challenges with life in general.

My Review: So being that this is the final book (I think?!) in the Evernight series, I was hoping it would bring a nice close to things, although I don't really think there were any cliffhanging moments throughout the series (At least not that I can remember...). Overall I was never too thrilled with this series, but the books are definitely quick reads and they're interesting enough for me to read them all.

What I Didn't Like: The whole thing was pretty slow, there were some action packed moments but they lasted only a couple pages and then it just moved on to Lucas moping about his undead state and Bianca wandering the halls as a body-less wraith. Finally within the last 50 pages or so everything picked up and provided a good ending. Also, all the time I'm thinking, why couldn't Bianca be smart and become a vampire and live happily ever after with Balthazar who sounds so dreamy I could cry. Lucas is just whatever to me now. I also got really sick of them constantly trying to have sex and then having it not work out. I really just got annoyed with everything.

What I Did Like: This series has always been different from other vampire books, which I really like. However, this one isn't a vampire trying to be with a human, this one is a vampire trying to be with a human, then dying and becoming a ghost and then the human becomes a vampire and then they try to be together. *breath*. I love the different characters too: Vic, the lovable but goofy best friend; Balthazar, the disgustingly HAWT other guy who then befriends the boyfriend... and also fences; Patrice, the girly girl who can fight her way out of anything without breaking a nail; and Ranulf, the oldest vampire of them all who's just trying to deal with modern day. I loved all of these guys and they constantly made me laugh and were all so loyal to each other. I wish the story focused more on them, because I loved reading about all the other great characters more than Bianca and Lucas.

Overall this was a pretty good ending to a pretty good series.

Perfect end to Lucas and Bianca's story.

A weird ending to a weird book. Bianca is just a floating narrator that sometimes has a hard time actually participating in the plot... Also, the whole 'land of lost things' world seems to be too big to include in this kind of vampire story. It felt like a premise for a completely different series.

"Hourglass" left us with a heavy cliffhanger. And though i guess i can imagine what is going to happen I simply CAN NOT WAIT!

This particular series went from being attention grabbing to I can't seem to finish it books. I was pretty much disappointed in this final book. It was very non believing and it was a strong ending I thought. It was no clean. I honestly didn't like it.

Afterlife was a great ending to this series! As with its predecessors, I didn't see that coming!

I don't want to go into too much since this is the last in the series, you might want to skip over this review, although it's not spoilery, and pick up the first book if you haven't! But I don't want to touch on a few things that make this series so fantastic!

That's one of the great things about the Evernight series, you may think that you have it all figured out, but Gray throws you for a loop every time. You think by the fourth book I would have been expecting it, but I wasn't. And the ending was totally not what I was expecting, but Gray did it so well! It wasn't the sappy, gag-me sickeningly sweet ending where everything ends with a big bow. These characters still have obstacles to face, with that being said Afterlife does wrap up the series rather nicely. (I am SO looking forward to Balthazar's story! Can't get enough of him!)

Bianca and Lucas have both went through transformations, not just physically, but also growth through their characters. I've felt varying emotions about these characters throughout the series, and that's something that will make this series stand out for readers. Although, if you haven't already guessed, Balthazar has always had my love through it all!

I loved the world that Gray created and I'm really going to miss it. It seems that so many of my favorite series are coming to an end.

If you haven't read the Evernight series, do it now! I can't wait to read more from Gray!
