This was a good book but not nearly as wonderful as the originals.

Definitely a nostalgic trip to revisit a beloved book series from my childhood. Everything is just as silly and nonsensical at Wayside School as ever!

The moment I started reading this I was transported back to my 2nd/3rd grade class where my teacher, Mrs. Kelly, first read us the Wayside books. I remembered how funny and quirky and down right odd the characters and situations were. But I loved it all the more for that. I giggled more than once.

He's still got it! Nostalgia was big on this one. All the beloved silliness of Wayside School is back & better than ever. My only complaint is that it was too short.

Just as funny as the originals. I loved that all the characters were the same, which makes no sense 40 years later, but does anything really make sense at Wayside? Fans of the series will find lots of giggles here. My favorite character was Mrs. Surlaw ;)

It was fun to return to Mrs. Jewls' class after all of this time and revisit the wild antics of the children on the 30th story of Wayside School. The newest edition doesn't have the outrageous creativity of chapters in the original trilogy like "Poetry," "Pet Day," or "Dr. Pickel." And both my children and I were disappointed when we got to chapter 19 and it was just a normal chapter.

However, this entire series remains a fun, family read-aloud.
