Really good content.
The audiobook sounded more like a podcast than a book which I didn’t care for at all.
Also, the author mentions only three studies, I believe, and otherwise just mentions all of the “research” she’s done. I’ve heard a lot of the same content in other books, so that’s why I think the advice in this book is legit.
So why five stars? The examples are the best. The collection of points is great to, and you’d hear the same things in other parenting books. However, I have yet to read so many good examples of said points.

A short and sweet audio book with soooo much value. I adore Brenè Brown and always learn something within her stories and the way she shares her research. A few of the stories in this book I felt like I have heard before in other books of hers, they seemed very familiar, but none the less it was a wonderful collection of information for parents and caregivers.

This was a quick audio book but I enjoyed listening to what Brown had to say about parenting.
There were a few things I took away from this, and I'll be including them into our routine at home.

Great, research-based tips for fostering “wholeheartedness” in kids and families. The audiobook is just over 2 hours and Dr. Brown comes across as the sharp researcher she is and, as usual, a delightful person.

Fantastic book about relating to children, especially related to vulnerability. I'm not that familiar with Brene Brown's other works - I haven't read them, I just know a little bit about them from what people have told me. So I went into this learning about shame and vulnerability as related to parenting. It was probably a good intro into her work for me, since I don't love self-help... But I do like parenting books.
The examples in this book were spot-on in explaining the concepts. Every example about Ellen was profound to me. This is a book I'll revisit and made me eager to read some of Brene Brown's other books.

This short audiobook lays out some principles of parenting in an easy to implement manner. Talks about guilt vs shame; healthy striving vs seeking perfection; being vulnerable; allowing your kids to see that you too struggle and are imperfect; setting boundaries; practicing gratitude and play. Thought it had a lot of useful advice.
