After vowing to never read another Colleen Hoover book due to simply hating the ones I read before, I decided to pick this one up after many months of consideration due to my best friend yelling at me to 'just try it!!!'. I can now happily say thank you Tamara for the recommendation, I was wrong in my judgement.
This book was gripping and very easy to read quickly, and I enjoyed guessing the twists and trajectory of the story. It reads like a retelling of The Yellow Wallpaper, but with more sex and intrigue.
Minus 1 star for more stupid character names and a lack of development for Lowen- I would've liked to hear more about her background and her motivations, but other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and am considerably more amenable to reading another book by Ms Hoover.

Yes, yes I know, don't judge me I am just getting back into reading. And let me say this book did not disappoint. I bought the Collector's Edition with the exclusive new chapter and I am so glad I did.
This story had everything from spicy romance, to love triangle, to mystery all wrapped up into one. And the twist....I will honestly say I did not see coming (and usually I can). This was a shocker...like WOW, was not seeing that one coming out of left field.

Oh my god!!!
This book is such an easy read!! I started it yesterday afternoon and finished it in just over a day!
It’s gripping and had me hooked from page 1!!
The twist at the end has me unsure! Is she safe, is she at risk, which version is true!! I just don’t know!!
