Some major problems:
1. Jeremy/Verity got 3 chances to clear the misunderstanding but he didn't let me. He loves her, married her but suddenly on the day of her daughter's death he got suspicious of his wife. Then on 2 of the said 3 chances they got he forcefully stopped her from talking  for no apparent reason.

2. Too much leverage taken on the law side. Things happened and no police is being able to even suspect anything. Jeremy almost choked Verity in the last confrontation, how did police not see those marks or atleast marks of any struggle.

3. The manuscript, I knew from the beginning there must be some explanation for her writing it in the manner she did. No writer writes like that. So I do not have any problem with that but it is not easy to swallow the whole "anognostic writing technique" plot.

The things I like the most in this book was that it was compelling and suspenseful in the beginning but the ending made the story animated and illogical at times.

Anyway I can not say that I did not have any fun reading this book. I had some good thrilling and scary moments which is why Verity is not a complete disaster for me.

One of the best book in psychological thriller Genre, If you fan of psychological thriller than 100% worth your time, the twist and turns shocks you with edge of the seat experience.

I read Verity and the silent patient, as a psychological thriller fan I gave Verity 9.5 when the silent patient 9.0 due to ending not upto my expectations and some small plot holes!

Guys I just finished Verity and absolutely loved it and I have a theory…
⚠️SPOILERS AHEAD⚠️

The letter was never meant for Jeremy to read because if he did, he would disprove it 😭

If f the reason for Verity’s injuries is Jeremy trying to strangle her and she’s writing this letter so that he can read it…

as soon as he reads this letter then he’s gonna know that she’s lying because he knows he didn’t do that.

He knows he didn’t crash the car.

He knows he didn’t strangle her.

So as soon as he reads this letter he is immediately going to know she was just trying to cover up and the manuscript is true because letter was never going to work.

Even if it still got to him - he’s going to look at this and go “hang on, I didn’t crash my car into the tree and I didn’t strangle you, you were injured in your own car crash”

So he’s either going to read the letter and it is true and he’s going to be like “oh wait I did do that my bad”

Or he’s gonna read the letter knowing that that never happened and immediately know that the manuscript is true and she’s just covering it up with a fake letter because he didn’t do that stuff 😭

The letter was an awful cover up because he will immediately know if it’s true or not OR it was never meant to reach him because Verity knows he can disprove it immediately because he knows if he crashed or not.

Maybe I’ve missed something and maybe I’m wrong, but I can’t stop thinking about this 😂
