I… thought this book was going to be something else entirely but instead I found it kind of boring? I didn’t like the writing that much especially at the end it reminded of tumblr writing. It has an interesting premise but I was just bored. Idk. I just didn’t enjoy it but I love the cover

The writing style and the progression of the story was not for me. The endless descriptions of the main character’s beauty almost felt suffocating towards the end and didn’t add anything to the story - I was just bored. Although the characters were interesting, I also felt like they were too distant. Too often this story seemed like a rough draft of a good one.
if the bible had been this queer, i might have stayed catholic. arguably, one of the holiest texts i've ever read. religious trauma triggered yet healed?? i'm left with nothing but sin. the only question haunting me now is how does one move on after this? fucking phenomenal.
