Picked up on Libby
Really nicely written, very regular words and nothing like Revolutionary but super human you really emphasized with every single person there, so much growth happening, and such a unique idea too like what a concept and so lifelike and could actually happen, great book

I wasn't interested in this book the first time I saw it, but then I unintentionally read the companion novel The Outsiders and had to know how they fit together. I enjoyed the multiple perspectives. I liked the Outsiders plot more, but the characters in Yours For The Taking made me really enjoy this one.
emotional mysterious reflective medium-paced

as a first novel this is very promising! i liked the plot and the themes, i just wished for a little more subtlety in their handling. will be picking up the second book set in this world

this definitely had its flaws. i was very confused by the timeline/passage of time at points. but what can i say i love a dystopian book with lesbians

I’ll give this book one thing - it’s the first one with such atrocious writing that I actually picked up a pen to start jotting down my reactions.
Wishy washy characters, no character development, abysmal pacing, and world building with holes like Swiss cheese. Countless paragraphs of statement after statement of how a character is feeling instead of actually writing the scenes that show it - it was like reading the sparknotes version of what could have been a good book.
Extremely lazy writing relying on convenience and cliches.
The dialogue was so bad I almost wished the author went back to just stating for the reader how a character is feeling instead of showing it through action and dialogue the way good writing is supposed to.
One star for an interesting premise and a half star for pissing me off so much I started to take notes.

I'm two chapters in and I can already see how half-baked and on the nose this is going to be. Might've powered on if the writing was better but...

sehr nice und spannend gsi, has ächt brucht wieder mol es buech z läse womi richtig ihnezieht
