5 stars for relatability but a little difficult to read at times for the same reason. Such an interesting main character. Really enjoyed Austin’s writing style.

I started this book being so extremely overwhelmed with how much I related to Gilda - it literally brought tears to me eyes and made me feel so seen. I still felt very close to her by the end of the book, but the plot of the story and how it played out and some of the decisions she made and how they impacted those around her were not quite as relatable. Still, I was so happy to be along for the ride and get to know this character who now means so much to me.

This was fast-paced and funny while also being hauntingly bleak…my favorite kind of book. Overall I really enjoyed this. 

As a fellow anxious girl, this was so real, although I give a word of caution..this book might not be for you if you’re really going through it right now.
