I loved this book until about the 80% mark. I loved the action, the character-building, the world-building, the plot, all around I was having a blast. Then there is a time jump in the story that skips the entirety of the relationship development between the two love interests. The time jump happens immediately following the main plot's climatic moment, so the book skips straight to the epilogue with no resolution. It is truly the most bizarre book structure I've ever read. It was a huge letdown to an otherwise great book.

Love this start to a new to me series! It's full of shenanigans, and it's hilarious. The whole scene of Sam's first dinner out with the Lucifer team had me cackling! I can't wait to see which characters we get the povs of in the upcoming books!

This was FANTASTIC

Oh, I loved this from the first page. It was clever and had a case/mystery that the hero ended up being more involved in than he expected, but best of all, it was HILARIOUS. There was a drunk scene that had me cracking up laughing. I can’t wait for the next in the series!

I absolutely loved this book. The grumpy + snarky combo was super fun and the side characters were so lovable, especially the hellhounds and Lucifer. Can't wait for book 2!

My only complaint would be that the "romance" wasn't really developed. They go from a one night stand to saying I love yous without spending even a few hours just talking to each other. That part really didn't gel with me.
