I read this book in two sittings. I just couldn't put it down!

Avery has a secret, and while I had correctly guessed what the secret was I was INVESTED. Sometimes guessing correctly can feel like a bummer, but not in this case for me. I was on the edge of my seat just waiting for the news to drop. When it inevitably was revealed, I was a bit disappointed in Matt's reaction and that whole scene (it just felt a bit expected and not 100% who Matt is) but it does not deter the 4 stars I give this book.

I loved it, and would definitely recommend the book and author to others.

I believe this is my first book by this author and after reading this I will definitely be reading more. Somehow in only 277 pages I was invested in the characters and completely engrossed in their world and the plot. There were a few times early on I was terribly annoyed with the main female character but loved the male character so I continued reading and I’m glad I did. I’ve already recommended this book to friends. I enjoyed the writing style, the plot, the character flaws, and all the supporting characters as well.

I really loved this book, just like the first one it was an easy and quick read. I loved the characters, there was a lot of character development and especially Matt was just amazing throughout the whole story, definitely someone you would want in your life.
I have no words, just absolutely recommend!

I’m so happy the Storyhill boys are back! I loved this story, it was angsty in the best possible way. I felt the conflict coming and was still surprised by the twist. The characters were developed thoughtfully and I wanted to get to know more about them, their history and their shared pain. I read this very quickly because I couldn’t put it down.

I was glad Grace had a prominent role in this book too, she is a special character. I can’t wait for the next book!

Y'all...I used to avoid 2nd Chance Romance, but I'm really starting to like them! And DON'T LET THE MUSIC DIE is a seriously good one!

When Avery and Matt are first thrown back together, after their break up 9 years ago, the Enemies vibe is STRONG! And you KNOW that I am always here for Enemies to Lovers. These two are pissed at each other and I loved every minute of it.

I loved Matt so hard! Even when pissed, Matt shows his Cinnamon Roll Hero deliciousness. His sweet moments surrounding Avery's anxiety issues will melt-your-heart. And his own back story and insecurities are a breath of fresh air I never see in romance these days.

I loved her Avery's quirks, her work ethic, and her care for her family. I loved the portrayal of her Anxiety Disorder. It was well-written and realistic. And you know I love a book that promotes Therapy!

As these two get closer and past secrets are revealed I had a bit of a hard time with the nature of the secret. Maybe I am an unfairly judgmental a**hole...? But it's a hard one to reconcile while still loving the character. That was why I removed a star from my rating. But, YOU might have no issue with her past so ignore me and read this book!!

I especially love the male friendships within the musical group at the heart of this series! They are supportive and talk to each other while their interactions remain completely believable. There is a decent amount of teasing that goes with their supportive moments. I love these guys and can't wait for future books about each of them.

I kindly received an eARC advance copy of this book to read and review though Booksirens.

This is the second book in a series about the Storyhill band but it works just fine by itself.

Avery is a radio show host of a show that has just been syndicated. On the first day of new distribution instead of the musician she was expecting, her ex from nine years ago ends up being the interviewee.

Avery has cultivated a whole life for herself despite never really getting over Matt. And Matt has never got over Avery.

The attraction is as strong as ever but Avery’s dark secret about their breakup threatens their future together. This is an easy read but has some weighty subjects that it covers. I so enjoyed reading it! ❤️
