I will likely recommend this in the future. This book covers a lot of topics. I think it’s a great introductory self-help book. The exercises are easy to consider and keep moving. Some books recommend pausing to make lists or journal - which isn’t bad - but I like thinking prompts. I think I prefer deeper exploration of specific topics at this point.

The editing of this book was pretty bad. Content was decent (again, I've read a lot of this stuff already, so not a whole lot new, but still good information).
130: [client beating self up about a mistake] then she stopped and remembered little fiona. That frightened child inside her who needed love, not hatred. "We're okay," she told both her child and adult self, "we've made a small mistake; it doesn't mean we're bad or stupid."
154: remember, our mind doesn't care about happiness; it only cares about survival. So, if the thing you desire is seen to be threatening, your unconscious will sabotage it for you.
193: acceptance and grieving are the key to Healing obsession. Acceptance is saying this happened, it hurt, there's nothing I can do about it, so I'm going to write a new story.
250: after all, no two peoples needs will ever be 100% the same, so it's an important life skill to be able to both acknowledge and empathize with another's wants, and then explain calmly and compassionately why you need something different.
