Good read! It is nice to see how far Artemis' character has developed. The new information revealed about Fairy History was also quite engaging.

We listen to this series together as a family, with the audio book version. Nathaniel Parker reads the story and he makes it very enjoyable, for all of us. I've enjoyed the stories overall, but this one was hard to follow at times. Maybe the whole bit about the daemons and such.

I'm not sure how to describe book 5... maybe tripy. It deals with time travel and worm holes. We do get to meet demons that have 2 classes I guess, Imps which are demon warlocks and the regular ones. We meet another genius, Minerva, and makes me feel like they shouldn't be having so many problems with so many smart people. No 1 was fun, enjoying the human words.

In this installment, we see Artemis coming to the aid of demonkind, the seventh fairy race that has become lost in time due to a warlock spell gone wrong. The Artemis Fowl series continues to get more complex with each book. The time travel element is surely confusing to its younger readers. And now we have an aged Artemis with a stronger connection to Holly Short. Can't wait to see their continuing adventures together.

I love Artemis Fowl, and I'm starting to think that the series can do no wrong. After the loss of Julius Root in the last book, this book really ramps up the more "adult" feelings. Artemis enter puberty, we see the introduction of a number of new characters, we feel real senses of loss. Its just an excellent expansion to the world the series has created. The twists and turns are really exceptional, in my opinion, and this particular one might be one of my favorites in the series.

The perfect book for a family to sit down to read together.
