This is my first book by this author and it won't be my last. This book was fun, entertaining, and filled with lots of heart. Colton and Gretchen stole my heart from the first page and I absolutely adored seeing the bros in action. I can't wait to go back and read the previous books in this series. Definitely recommend!

*Thank you so much to Berkley Books for a copy of this book to review*

This series was fun and a perfect set of books to get me out of my audiobook slump. I started so many books that needed to be read. My workload was too much and they were complex and took too much brainpower to focus and work (the majority of my listening time). This last one was.. forced? I didn’t feel the chemistry between the two mc’s, the story was meh and it took me longer to finish. If I missed something I didn’t feel compelled to rewind and catch up. Maybe I was burned out on the series by this point and should have taken a break before the 5th book but either way. My main issue was Colton and Gretchen weren’t characters I liked or enjoyed in the previous books and I went in having less interest in this story. Her backstory was cliche and how she turned out from that story was cliche which also made it difficult to get into. I enjoyed these books because they were fun, simple, and romantic but the characters in the previous books had layers to them which was interesting to go through their issues to reach the happy ever after.
Sticking with my caveat that I may have overdone it with the series and could 100% change my mind later.

My first Bromance Book Club book (we just love reading out of order lol).

I've been wanting to read this series for a whileeee, and by chance of my sister actually having this book, I have now kinda started it. I feel no rush to read the first four, only because I have some amazing reads on my TBH that I would like to get to first! Plus, I already know I'll probably like the other books in the series so I can always go to them if I want a reliable contemporary romance read!

I liked the relationship between Gretchen and Colton, it was sweet, very safe, and comfortable. However, the book won me over because of the boyssss. The Bromance Book Club is so wholesome and adorable. THE WAY THESE MEN LOVE THEIR WOMEN UGH I CAN'T. Also, Roman? Does he appear in the other books? Because if so, I fully believe the last book in this series should be about him. It has to, RIGHT? Just like how the women fell for him, I have as well. He's so mysterious. And cheese, duh.

I liked how the author incorporated Christmas very well. It felt like a Christmas book, made me nostalgic, and wasn't extremely cheesy (there was, like, one other scene aside from the Roman scene that felt kinda Hallmark-y). The twist on A Christmas Carol was great and how it applied to Colton and Gretchen! I also read it every year and have seen all of its adaptions (even though the only adaption I like is Scrooged--is that actually an adaption though? And the Flintstones one. #FakeFan maybe? Probably).

I would recommend this book to someone who is over the age of 18, does not get the ick from a third-act breakup, and likes the grumpy/sunshine trope. Am I a recommendation girlie now? No, this is my way of saying there's sex in it without calling it out. There's, like, two scenes, so no one go clutching their pearls.

Yet another lovely installment in the Bromance Book Club series! This books external tough subjects that gives life to our characters is the fight for immigrants who are fighting for their right to stay in America / not be put in cages. It also talks about hoarding wealth and the things family cover up all for the sake of image. The abuses we endure and the desperation we can have for those who have neglected us to somehow change and embrace us instead. Lets add a slice of feeling like you must be the breadwinner for your parents and siblings and the pressure we put on ourselves to be everything for everyone. You know some light stuff. All of that is to say that this book does what each of the Bromance books has done. It's breathed life into these characters and hopefully shown you that while love can conquer all...it is not without putting the work in, fighting for what you believe in, and letting yourself be vulnerable with those who have shown that you can trust them.

Solid 4/4.5 and perhaps the best of the entire series?? Lemme update when I get over my post read high
