I am a near life-long Menyon. I will always believe in the might and beauty of what Sherrilyn Kenyon manages to bring into the world each time she puts pen to page (or finger to keypad as the case may be).

In this one, she makes one of her largest and most inherently evil characters into the kind of man and hero we all admire and support. From the beginning of this series, Jullien has been the ultimate villain working against the happiness of the Sentella team and their families, a dark whisper during the worst times. Here, we learn about the villains who haunt him and the world the forced the mask of villain over the head of an innocent captive.

When I found out who this story focused on, I about had a heart attack! The author does an amazing job of telling his story in such a way that we can’t help but love him as a Hero!

Dagger was an awesome hero, striving to be more than his past and do right by those he had harmed. I loved how Ushara accepted him through his current actions and not his past! The twists and turns that the story took was amazing, and the fact that Dagger had to save his birth family, but ended up not reconciling with them was very realistic and well done. There was a lot of his story that made me cry!

I also loved that Ushara was a strong heroine and able to see past the rumors of Dagger’s past. I also enjoyed the fact that she didn’t snub him for being different! Her family was also enjoyable to watch, for the most part!

All things considered, I really enjoyed the book. The repetitiveness of going over events from previous books was a bit old, and my largest complaint about it, but it wasn’t a major detraction from it either. This is one I would definitely recommend!

When I read who was the "hero" in this book, I though "here goes another Styxx". But man was I wrong! This books was just incredible, I love how we see this whole new side of the story! I love the fact that Jules just let go of the past and accepted his new family and made peace with his past. I can't wait for the next book on these series. I also remember all of the children in Devyn's book and now I understand who they came to be Tavali!

Another great book by another great writer.

I love Sherrilyn' s stories and her world building is second to none. I recently got to meet her and she was absolutely lovely. That said, I was prepared to not fully embrace Juliens story. I just couldn't imagine ever giving him a chance. However, she managed to find a way to make it credible. Julien doesn't have a backstory that is as tragic as say, her character Styxx, but it is not a cake walk either. She also let's him own up to his mistakes. He knows he's fucked up alot on his own. He knows he's hurt people and made bad decisions, as well as having awful things happen to him. He does genuinely try to make amends. The story is a good one and the outcome is excellent.

Tropes- series villain isn’t really a bad guy, wounded man needs love to heal

I never expected to Jullien to be my favorite League hero. He was the spoiled, pampered villain! I should have known that no one writes a misunderstood man better than SK. It only took a couple of chapters before I was all

Much of this book shows events that we were already aware of, but when we see them from Jullien’s perspective, things are very different.

Bravo, Sherrilyn Kenyon. Only you could make me want to line up characters I love and slap them for their treatment of the series villain. description/

It took me a long time to get through this book dont get me wrong I loved it but there is only so much sad I can take. After they got through most of the sad stuff it was easy going. I really wasnt sure how Jullien story was going to turn out because he was a bad guy in all the other books but as it turns out he was a really really good guy trying to do right all the time. Sherrilyn Kenyon really knows how to put an amazing book together

This book shows a fascinating look into Jullien's back story. I really enjoyed watching him build a family around himself. I can't wait to read the next book!

This book was utterly incredible, I loved it to pieces, though it was hard to see some of these characters in a bad light, like what happened with Acheron and Styxx's sister! But so great, and I can't wait to read more of this series!
