I loved the premise but hated the execution. The book itself was such poor quality (every few pages were glued together and had to be ripped open). The writing was what you’d expect from an amateur blog. The essential advice is “if you want to get up early, get up early!” Congrats, you’ve saved yourself money. I felt like the author had no credibility to be writing on this subject other than he is motivated about being motivating. I think it’s great the people find their motivation to live a better life but there are much better quality book out there.
I'm glad I got this free on Amazon Prime Reading because I would have been pretty disappointed to have spent money on something that could easily be a blog post. The idea is certainly worth trying out and I am going to give it a go, so two stars for that, just not a great read. It felt like I was reading an infomercial--to the point I most certainly read the entire thing in Billy Mays' voice which is probably the only reason I made it all the way through.
While there is a lot of good in this book and I recommend reading it, I also think the author glosses over a lot of privilege he has. There is a strong element of self denial when it comes to mental health that doesn’t fly with me (speaking from experience). So I agree with the what to do he prescribes, my caveat is to consider the how you implement life changes. Don’t be afraid or ashamed to be gentle and slow with yourself.
I am not a self-help book kind of person but I saw this one mentioned on several bullet journaling posts so I thought I'd give it a try. I'm still not a self-help book kind of person. It's a very short book - I read it during the length of one soccer practice. The message is simple enough but the approach seems somewhat manic and obsessive. I'm sure I'll toss around some of the ideas in the coming days and perhaps I will revise my opinion.
The ideas aren't bad but he writes like a cross between a used car salesman and Louise Hay.

This was easy to read, engaging, thought provoking, and helped me take back control of my mornings and my life.

5 stars for the information, which really does transform your life
3 stars for the writing, which goes a bit over the top to convince you of the former fact

The 'Not-So-Obvious Secret' this book promises is in reality some pretty obvious, often repeated advice that you can find in many self-help books: wake up earlier and focus on a couple of good habits before you deal with the rest of the day.
In almost every chapter, the Miracle Morning brand is promoted heavily and the reader is nudged to the website (probably to leave your email address in exchange for some documents or checklists). Most of the suggestions are illustrated by anecdotal stories of their effects, but scientific justification of the method is lacking. The long list of self-help gurus the author credits in the final paragraphs of the book indicates how much of 'Miracle Morning' consists of recycled ideas from others.
I do think that waking up earlier to start the day with some healthy habits is a good idea, don't get me wrong. But this book contains too much fluff and recycled common sense to really inspire. Your mileage may vary.

I really enjoyed this. I've been looking at solidifying my morning routine for a while now and this was a great place to start. If I need to revamp it later i'd be interested in maybe reading a different book or the version of this for teachers but sometimes self help books give me the ick. i am planning on trying the 30 day wake up challenge and we'll see how it goes!

It's one of those books you know exactly what you gonna get. I don't think it's bad but I don't know if it's good either, I will try to the miracle mornings for 30 days, I like a challenge!
