Uses a lot of eye-rolling motivational language, but also has some good stuff in there. It's certainly inspired me to get up earlier to achieve my goals and to live a fuller life rather than just waking up for work, so that's something. It's also a very short read.

The concept of the Miracle Morning itself is really cool! I tried it out and I don’t love it but I may add aspects to it to my regular routine. I do like how he made sure to explain it can be customized to what works best for you. I think this does help someone who doesn’t already have a morning routine set up, but I wouldn’t change my entire routine for this.

The book itself I didn’t love as I felt there was a lot of stuff that seemed to unnecessarily repeat and could have been a lot shorter. I definitely had takeaways from it, but not enough for how long the book was. I wouldn’t go out of my way to recommend this to people, but this would definitely benefit some!

This book opens up explaining that the life you’ve always wanted is within your grasp and the real secret may actually be waking up earlier. Elrod’s Miracle Morning and Level 10 life approaches to goal setting and completing tasks has become widely popular and motivating for a number of people. After reading this book and applying the ideas to my own life I can certainly see why. However, when it comes to a full review of this book I think its important to break it down into two parts: the ideas and the writing style.

The ideas and tips that Elrod offers are inspirational and, when you follow through with it, feels like a true transformation. They are things that seem like they should be obvious (taking time each morning for yourself) but somehow aren’t (which is where the extended title comes in). Its about taking time to focus on yourself and meet some of your basic needs, telling yourself that you can do it, and visualizing what your success will look like. There were a few suggestions that Elrod made that I disagree with based on research that I’ve read. For example, he advises putting off eating breakfast until after the SAVERS routine (roughly 1 hour after waking up) but I’ve read in several studies that its the most beneficial to your health if you eat breakfast within 1 hour of waking up. Small points like that but, as with any self-help book, ones that you can shape to fit your needs and lifestyle.

As for the style of writing, however, that’s where the 3 instead of more stars comes in. The book isn’t too terribly long but you have to wade through a lot of repeated infomercial talk to get to the point. I didn’t expect to have a one page “this is how you succeed at life” but I felt like the book could’ve lost over half of its “just keep reading and you’ll find out the secret” and it wouldn’t been just as helpful of a book.

If you’re looking to take hold of life and willing to wake up a little earlier to do that (whether you’re a morning person or a night owl, like me) then I recommend this book to you. Just be prepared to flip through a lot of pages without any real substance.

I like how another reviewer described the writing as cringe, but I'm going to give it a go. I'll try to remember to come back and write more after I do the 30 day challenge

It was really good, so far as self help books go. And it made me realise that reading self help books is actually much much better than asking for help and being labelled as "whiny" (personal experience lol).

I was feeling really low for over six months. And I had trouble simply waking up in the morning, albeit it was after 12 in the noon, and I would have zero to no motivation or purpose to pull myself out of my mattress and start the day, forget about working on my goals.

For months, this loop continued. But having read this book, now I'm feeling more ambitious and hopeful about life and my career. It's making me want to START.

The S.A.V.E.R.S. (Silence, Affirmations, Visualization, Exercise, Reading, and Scribing ) is really a wonderful way to kick start one's day. And the way they have been designed in this book is really logical and inspiring.

I recommend this book to anyone feeling lost in life, yet hoping they could become a more productive and goal-oriented person, overall have an improved and healthier lifestyle.

As self-improvement books go, this was one of the better ones. It was full of really practical, straightforward advice to create your own miracle morning. Like many similar books, it could have been half the length, but it was so helpful and practical that I’ve forgiven that.

"Let today be the day you give up who you have been for who you can become"

This is the first book I am reading after Slight edge and I can concur that the philosophy mentioned in the this book also adheres with the Slight edge philosophy(If you have not read [b:The Slight Edge|590652|The Slight Edge|Jeff Olson|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1387667330l/590652._SY75_.jpg|577412], Please read as it would provide a new lens of vision through which its easier to implement other self-help books). You can further check out my review on The Slight edge - https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/3764391126?book_show_action=false&from_review_page=1

Book is short. Easy to skim through. But just a little difficult to implement as there are 6 Miracle morning routines that need to be followed everyday. I keep reading these reviews which mentions that "this book's summary is just 6 tasks and nothing new mentioned here, save yourself time by not reading". Its completely false although I agree that Author has not mentioned any out of the box or innovative method, this simple yet profound routine if followed daily will yield results that are astonishing.

As you keep reading more self-help books, you will notice a pattern that information regarding routines, what-to-dos,what-not-to-dos, methods, hacks and habits are all available easily.
In fact, upon few hours of research you can find all or if not more information on particular topic or subject mentioned in the book.

But its not that the information that makes these books useful, its practical application, personal experiences, roadblocks faced during application and how they overcame these shortcomings that makes it more precious.

while its easy to get information, organised practically applicable routines with real-life experiences are hard to get. And for those who are willing to change, who have already started their personal development, they will value experiences of a proven achiever more than the information provided.

Your ambitions are how you spend your day.
Its how you spend today that determines your tomorrow, coming week, next month and years which culminate into a successful life.
If we are waiting for things to change or that one magic pill. It wont work.
Things do not change. We change.

I have started implementing these routines steadily everyday for about 2 weeks now. I can definitely vouch for huge improvements which can be seen in my health and energy levels. Due to scribing, I am getting more clarity on things to be done for the day and in which I am headed.

Give this book a try more importantly give the routines a try and persist for 30 days. On one hand you have got nothing to loose but on other hand you have got everything to gain.

Where you are is a result of who you were, but where you end up depends entirely on who you choose to be from these moments.

This book was brought to my attention by a fellow reviewer and something about it piqued my interest. I am not really a morning person but have already for the past week woken up an hour earlier than normal and followed the morning routine presented here. It has definitely helped me get out of bed and start being productive right away and feeling awake, rather than staying in bed for another 30 minutes checking my phone. What I didn't like so much was that it sounded exactly like a motivational speaker up on stage (which, granted, he is) as well as all of the grammatical errors. There are so many that it felt very unprofessional, and this copy was printed several years after the original publication date.

Book 46- The Miracle Morning
Author- Hal Elrod

"Motivation is what gets you started
Habit is what keeps you going."

Before going to the review of this book, I have to tell that "Self-help" books aren't my Jam. I've read very few books only because they are very popular. Since November, I've been consciously taking an effort to bring some changes to my routine in the aspects of productivity, work-life balance. First thing I had to fix is my wake up routine. No matter how many alarms I keep, I'll happily hit the snooze button and sleep. So I started checking books that would help to become a "Morning Person" from "Night Owl"...This is the book I've found or this is the book that found me.

The author's life went upside down after a terrible accident and he was in coma. He wanted to transform his life and he followed so many techniques which helped him to achieve his goal. He has listed down all the effective techniques that he had followed under the title "SAVERS"

S- Silence (Mediation)
A- Affirmations
V- Visualization
E- Exercise
R- Reading
S- Scribbing

He has mentioned how to set our mind before going to bed and how to wake up earlier, and what we are going to do for the first one hour of our morning. Check the second image in the post, that's the routine the author has suggested..the same routine can be done in one minute as well if you are too busy to give 60 minutes for yourself.

The point is he has made it easier for all kind of people. Let me be honest and tell you the fact that you don't have to even completely read this book, the summary in blog pages are more than enough, because he has explained everything with examples and scenarios. If you're someone who don't like such deep elaborations, refer Miracle Morning summary in Youtube, which is more than enough.

Also, if you've read so many self help books already, You might not like this..it might fall under "very basic" category for you.

I liked all the techniques mentioned in this book and been following this routine for more than a week now, I could see the difference at so many level. Who knows, it might create an impact on you as well!

Sometimes, Life's all about doing what's RIGHT,not what's EASY! New year is almost around the corner, why wait till Jan 1 to start something new?

Remember
"If you want your life to be different, you must be willing to do something different first!"

Sinceramente, me ha gustado, pero se me ha echo bastante pesado y repetitivo todo el tiempo.
