This series stole my heart, and this ending slowly put the pieces back together again. I love Mira, Aaru, Lala and the rest with my whole heart. I’m sad the series is over but I couldn’t have asked for a better ending.

A worthy finale where everything comes together :) There were a lot of plot twists I didn’t see coming, and I love how strong Mira has become! Like the other books, there are important themes like refugees and animal protection, and it was very epic.

This one did move a little faster than the second one for me, although I had a hard time visualizing certain parts. I also feel that this is a trilogy that needs to be read close together--I'm glad I reread the first one when I had all three in hand. However, I think I need a break from series for awhile and need to read a few stand-alones.

After the first two books I was very excited for this final book to finish the series!

Then I finally got my hands on it and it was... Ok. The book was about 530 pages total, and it felt like 350 of those pages was just build up. Thinking back on it, I don't remember a lot of things that occurred, only that I was eager to read on to hopefully get to the action.

Sadly I found this third book lacking. There wasn't a lot of character development, the romances were already obvious and in place from the previous book, and it gave off the vibe that it would all work out in a good way somehow.

Usually I like the happy ending books, but this one was too easy to see where it was going once the *action* finally happened that it left me feeling cheated. This book could have been 200 pages to cover the things I'll actually remember and enjoyed instead of the massive 500+ it was. Just too much filler for too little enjoyment.

4.5 stars!

My favorite thing about this book was that there were even more dragons! Before She Ignites was a pretty dragon light but they were more prominent in As She Ascends and even more so in When She Reigns. I enjoyed this series immensely and found each book to be better than the last. The Silent Code fascinated me throughout and Aaru is one of my favorite characters now.

Mira continues to grow as she discovers the purpose for her God-gift and the lies she was raised to believe are stripped away. She's come so far since Before She Ignites and never gives up on her beloved dragons.

This final book was everything I'd hoped for and more.

One of the best finale books I have ever read!! This was everything I wanted and more from the story, the characters, and of course, the dragons. This tugged at my heartstrings in so many different ways and gave me a satisfying ending.

I love dragons and strong heroines so I had high hopes for this series and this final conclusion was even better than I thought it would be! I loved the diverse cast of characters and shifting perspective that added suspense, and of course I loved all of the dragons! This is an incredible fantasy world that had mysterious politicians, changing alliances, and hidden backstories you had to figure out. In this final book, all hope is almost lot, but our heroes take matters into their own hands and try to literally save their world. I really liked Mira struggled to find how to use her own voice and where she fit in to the larger schemes around her while choosing her friends and enemies carefully. She really comes into her own by this final book, but still has the same struggles of what role she wants to play and what she'll give up to save the dragons. Mira is one of the very best fantasy leading ladies I’ve ever read. Our hero is also supportive of her, feels big feelings, and is a great role model for men in fantasy. Their romance is a side note in their epic fight to save their islands that enhances the story but doesn't control all of the action. I enjoyed everything about this trilogy and couldn’t put it down until I finished. I wish more people would read these books because they are the best dragon series in YA
